DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE!

The food was so bad I couldn’t eat it, the waffle was dry and taste like it has been there for days. It was to hard to cut it with knife. The coffee was just water and sugar, like what on earth that can make someone do the coffee that bad if they have a coffee machine!

The owner was extremely rude, they have a machine to pay but you can’t pay with credit cards from any company ( visa, MasterCard, etc.) and he claims it’s our fault, at least give us a heads up before dining in that your machine is not working. And they kept saying we’re new that’s why the machine is not working, which is a big lie because lots of reviews here are saying the same thing. In 2021 and still only use cash!

The place is not clean, all the tables had cigaret ashes all over it, even during Coved they don’t bother to clean the tables after everyone.

When we first walked in, everything looked great. Then we walked past the tips and noticed that it was empty, that should have given us a heads up about what was to come. We sat down and one of the employees took our order. My friend tried to order a pineapple smoothie, but they were out of everything, except for bananas. As soon as we received our food and drinks, we noticed a few things that were off: There was no cutlery, which made it a little difficult to eat our waffles, which were drowning in chocolate sauce. Also, the plates were chipped and scratched and the tables were very dirty. When we started eating our waffles, we could easily tell that they weren't fresh, but obviously bought from a supermarket of sorts. They just didn't taste good. I don't recommend going here. I fear that the tourists that come to Amsterdam and go here to eat, will think something like this is normal. So as a local, I will just straight out tell you...

The prices are not shown anywhere. We got a bottle of coke which costed 6 euro. as we paid for several things I didn't notice this fact. While eating the waffle (which, according to the board, costed 3.5€, but the extra was charged also, with the costs not shown anywhere again), we realized about the coke price. We got back inside to return it (of course it was still closed), and the girl at the counter refused to get the bottle back and refund the 6 euro. According to her, she wasn't allowed by her boss. We asked her to call him, which she refused again. We finally got the money back, but the attitude of this person was horrible, she was laughing at us with a friend of her inside the local. As we are tourists she thought we are stupid. The waffles were good, but the staff is the worst I've seen in Amsterdam. Not...
