I ordered for a vegetarian burrito and then took some salsa in the containers meant for it. The server asked me not to touch saying it's unhygienic to touch the serving spoon (I didn't know he expected me to take the salsa with my hands) and when I said the other guest did it too, he said I needed to ask. It was extremely rude, racist and he asked me to put the salsa back. I mean, if it was unhygienic and I put it back in the container, then the whole salsa becomes unhygienic. A place like foodhallen in Amsterdam where global cuisine is served, just one racist vendor can spoil the entire experience. Shameful and disappointing The owner reached out requesting me to message privately when they actually humiliated me in public. It's easy to project your callous attitude on the guest and term it as frustrating. You need to understand that you're serving guests across the globe and one racist sounding comment deserves to be made public. It's not a small matter. I'm not the only one to have this issue. If you read other reviews, you may understand that customer service is an issue and if the person serving food puts negative energy while making it by making such condescending comments, that's what needs to be worked on. It's service industry and attitude makes all...

We've only been in Amsterdam for three days and we've already eaten here three times! The first two times we tried the vegan nachos, and they were the perfect munchies. We stuffed our faces but like healthy styles. I'm getting hungry again just typing this. Goddamnit. Last night, we decided to play it cool and get something different since we've ordered the nachos twice already and we're looking too predictable (even though I still wanted the nachos). We got this mushroom salad tostada and that was amazing too. Super yum crunch beneath salady amazitrons. Honestly, we haven't been vegan very long but both of these have to be some of our favorite vegan dishes we've tried this whole time. Everyone that works there is super chill and good vibey. Not everything is vegan but they seem to be able to make every dish in a vegan version and are happy to do it and very cool about it. Everything they have looks healthy and well considered. Super duper cool place, give...

I was very excited about trying that little taqueria this evening. First of all I didn't feel a warm welcome when the lady at the counter took my order. I bought a chicken burrito and a regular nacho. Once I paid for my I asked her if could have a glass of tap water from the jug that was on the counter and she said to me "2 euros". In the first I thought that was a joke but no she was serious about it. I advise her to not charge client for tap water as it is illegal to do so. Btw I m a chef working in Amsterdam and I never seen such thing in my entire career . The food was ok even but the burrito was a bit cold though. The cook should us a proper choping board and make sure to use a clean knife.... good luck...

I've been a regular at Fento ever since I moved to the Netherlands, so figured it was time for an appreciation post! Love how much genuine care and honesty there is in all of their food... everything is SO delicious, but also super healthy!!! My favourite part of every dish are the colourful probiotic pickles that come on top - they turn every meal into a party :D I've also gotten to know the staff over time and they are all just so passionate about this little Mexican fusion / street food concept. Thank you Fento!

Horrible bowl. They ran out of guacamole... a Mexican inspired place. They forgot to put all the ingredients in, had to go back there to get the rest. The staff was a bit passive aggressive in their response. The “local greens” is nothing but lettuce, which as you can imagine goes wonderful with the warm(ish) chicken and Mexican sauce. And to make it even more watery there was another liquid inside (the water from the black beens?!) More a kind of lettuce soup than any presentable bowl... left without eating.

I thought the menu was pricey at first but what I got was good value, esp considering their free range/locally grown concept. Chips and guac were not kind of "authentic style" but they tasted fresh, like all the ingredients. (Guac look scared me at first but it was just kind of creamy or something) The bowl was massive so I wasn't mad at the cost (18€). It was both filling and kind of refreshing which was exactly what I had hoped for considering all I had eaten that day was cheese and stroop waffles haha
