Its a wine bar so OF COURSE Paulus was knowledgeable and able to suggest a delicious orange wine for me. Yet what was even more of a treat was his genuine love and interest of those he was serving. I noticed it not just with me, but with every person he interacted with.
As far as llcation, it's the perfect distance away from all the hustle and bustle of the touristy center. Right next to a bakery with the best baclava I've ever tasted, and across the street from a calm locals park, Wijnbar Paulus is the center of a wonderful adventure into the life of the local dutch life.

We did the wine tasting and we enjoyed it thoroughly: 3 whites and 2 reds and with every one of them a great story about the country/specific region they came from. Paul doesn't bore you with very technical details: they are fun, light stories that makes you remember the wines. Our favorite was the one from Israel. Paul is really dedicated to make sure you get what you want so you can make up your own 'wine menu'.
