Our Akaroa trip turned disaster. Waited 1 hour for our food, even the drinks not served. Thought we should ask how long it will take. Then the waiter said when he served the pizza and drinks there was nobody on the table, and said that we gave the wrong table number which was just next to us. (We did say 2 table numbers as we had big family) We did not see him bring pizza and drinks to the table next to us. So he lied. Then he came back and said, he did put the order, the pizza is made. We waited and went inside to ask how long will it take. To our surprise, the order was not put thru in the kitchen. Another 30mins passed, waiter came back and said, the kitchen is still serving 2 more tables then it will be our turn. Whaaat??!!!! It is common sense, we waited long enough and they forgot our order , and they want us to wait until the next 2 tables are served when we came long before them. 2 hours waiting for food, then the waiter came, served the chips for the children. Waiter came again telling us they are making the pizza and will take some time to wait, do we still want to wait or cancel our order? VERY UNPROFFESIONAL. They asked us if we want to cancel. I don’t usually write reviews but this was such bad experience I feel this deserves one. The service was terrible. Our waitress took half an hour to come and take our order, despite the place not being busy and we let them know a couple of times that we were ready. When we asked a question about the menu that she didn’t know the answer to, she just walked off! She didn’t explain she was going to ask someone or anything, she just left and returned 10 minutes later! The waitresses were wearing hoodies, track pants, socks and scuffs!? At one point the two young waitresses literally had a running race through the restaurant and between the tables were customers were having their meals, hitting and play fighting With each other to get to the kitchen first, cackling and laughing. The staff spent more time in the kitchen with the chef talking and laughing loudly then doing any actual work which would explain why the meals took so long. Honestly the service staff was appalling. The food itself was OK - but not worth...

After a round of golf today my friends and I stopped in to grab some lunch, we were seated and waiting 10 minutes to receive a menu. The young chap working there came and took our order but never asked if we wanted drinks or the standard water. 15 minutes later the lady who was friendly came down with a drinks menu. 30 minutes later no sign of cutlery or napkins, given there was only us 4 and a table of 6 who were halfway through their meal. An hour in and no sign of chef Ramsey with the food. A family of 4 arrived in and ordered 2 pizzas and chips. 1hr 30 LATER into our wait their food comes out. I questioned the lady about the delay and she just said "it's coming" 1hr and 45mins LATER and she arrives down with what you only describe as "a 4am chuck it in there steak sandwich". Totally different to what the menu had stated with fillings.Not once did she come down to get our feedback on the meal or any more drinks we had to call her down to express our disappointment.
