Majestic Cafe - Shore City — Restaurant in Devonport-Takapuna

Yesterday I visited the cafe with a friend. We ordered the Belgian Milk chocolate, which tasted soo good, Very chocolaty and was well presented in a big crystal glass. The look itself was tempting. We were very pleased with the thick creamy shake. Because of this impression I visited the cafe again today evening, only to be disappointed with the worse presentation, service and the shake tasted nothing like yesterday. Ofcourse the staff was different but how can a store deliver two totally different kind of service. And in one of the cups, it was very dirty. And some unknown dirty particles on the sides of the cup. I felt disgusted by this. Very disappointed. The staff did not maintain any standards and the service was terrible. One of them even looked as if he is going to punch every customer with the attitude he served. I wish the store standards were maintained by every staff member rather than one or two. My niece and I went to the Majestic Tea Bar today and for the third time, had a very disappointing experience with the food. The staff are friendly and helpful and the drinks are great, but each time we have been there the food has been extremely disappointing. Today, between us we spent $60 on a very uninspiring lunch. My niece ordered french toast and asked for banana instead of bacon. This was a nice and generously portioned dish, but the dried raspberries and pistachios, as described on the menu were missing. I ordered avocado and feta on toast, but the serving was pitifully sized for the high price tag and the avocado was very close to rotten. Other items described as part of the dish, ie cherry tomatoes and dukkah were no more than a garnish. It was virtually flavourless and very expensive. We tried to find someone to speak to about our concerns but the counter staff were busy and management were nowhere to be seen. A great place for a hot drink, but I can't...

I was there with my little one today and ordered a coffee and a bowl of chips which I usually do around twice a week. This time I was served by a woman at the counter who both took my order and delivered it to my table. She was the grumpiest person I have ever been served by In all my years. No eye contact, no hellos or acknowledgment just a rude face who roughly plopped my order on the table and walked away. I have been there many times before and but I was shocked what happened today. I was left to feel so unwelcome that I even took my order back to the counter and gave it back to her expressing my anger and asking if it was an issue that I was using a free voucher this time or what her issue was.
