We ordered takeaway from time to time, and tonight my hubby went to take away at their restaurant. They charged us 2x rice, but end up only giving us one. And this wasn't the first time. So I called and told the receptionist what happened, and he shifted the blame and said 'its the kitchen whom made a mistake not me.' Well, I said I can't go into the kitchen and tell them off right? He answered me 'yes, but I just wanna let you know.' I told him this was not the only time, they should check the order before sending out the foods. This is just not good enough. He did offer a free rice next time. The point is getting a free rice (which we had paid for already) next time doesn't makeup the fact that we have two main dishes but only one rice to share between the whole family tonight!!! So when I told him that I hope next time this will not happen again as they should improve their service, or I will leave a bad review on Google. He answered me: 'it's up to you!' It's like he didn't give a shxt! They are popular in the community which is a good thing, but the way that they dealt with a customer complaint and their customer service during busy hours are awful, at least to our experience. Had a table booking at 630 but couldn’t get through the front doors due to to 20+ People waiting for takeaway orders. 1 person I spoke to had been waiting and hour for their order. Once seated it took 20mins before being approached and drink and food orders were taken. It took 1hr 40mins to be served our food. They were more focused on clearing through the takeaway orders than serving the customers sitting in the restaurant. The restaurant was 80% full with people looking around and waiting for their food, we finally ate at 830pm 2hours after arriving.
I could tell the staff were stressed but communication to the restaurant customers about wait times on arrival would have been good. They should’ve been turning away takeaway orders to focus on those paying...
