Okay okay okay, hear me out. You love fried chicken? Good, you're in one of the best cities for that, oh you like sweet meats? Me too! I love me some sweet meats.
FOR YEARS I have been ordering from this place via Uber, ordering from the counter just cause I was passing through town. I've bought chicken for friends, family and colleagues and it's NEVER let me down. I'm always able to park outside via cycling or car and head in and find a table. Amazing service everytime, tight beer selection and I've never has a bad meal or had anyone ive brought with me complain. My family visiting from the UK repeatedly told me how much they missed this chicken, this was via ordering from Uber so it wasn't exactly fresh but my god does the chicken get better as it cools down.
I love the yummy and crazy spice chicken, I absolutely do not recommend the super spicy as that messed me up more then any other spicy food I've eated. It's literally just straight chilli and eating it was not for pleasure but pride.
This place has beaten the Nashville chicken trend and is above Soul Shack (at it's peak) and Peaches Hot Chicken.
Guys, thank you so much for all your hard work. One day I may be told I need to stop eating fried chicken but it won't be while you're open or until I figure out how you debone and make chicken as good as you do.

Read moreI come here nearly every Friday for lunch with a group of 4 or 5 and it is my favourite chicken spot in Wellington. Tonight unfortunately I received some extremely poor service which I would’ve left happy if the manager just apologised. I ordered online and was told there would be a 40min wait, I arrived after 40mins and was told my order was about 10-15mins away which I was happy to wait for. 10 seconds after sitting down, an order was placed on the counter (which was mine) however no one called out a name and since I was told 10-15mins this 15sec order couldn’t be mine, I continued waiting for 20mins as uber drivers collected there orders when I finally asked hey what’s taking so long the chef had to tell the manager we finished this ages ago. A little bit annoyed that my order had been getting cold and no one bothered to mention it (I was sitting half a meter away from the manager) I said I’ve been waiting 20mins and that bag has been here the whole time….. he said “I didn’t know you were here” passed me the bag and turned away????
Food was Luke warm and chips were starting to get soggy when I picked them up, no apology was offered.

Read moreWe’ve been here before, and enjoyed our meals. So when we had a friend visiting, I said, you’ve got to try this! We ordered to share the Yummy Spicy and Black & White Soya Sauce fried chicken, I believe they were called.
The restaurant wasn’t busy, but still we waited over 45 minutes for our two dishes to arrive. That was after I gave the servers at the counter the evil eye, and after I had to ask about the ETA of our order. It looked like they were giving priority to the Uber Eats orders! Not a good start, as we were hungry too!
The Yummy Spicy arrived first, and it was delicious with succulent pieces of fried chicken. The Soya Sauce chicken however was like eating ‘dry pieces of fried rag’. It must have been refried at least twice at some point before being served to us, and there just not enough sauce on the chicken pieces. It gagged all the way down our throats.
I figured the Yummy Spicy fried chicken was a popular option, so the high turnover almost guaranteed fresh pieces of chicken each time. The Soya Sauce fried rag, I would not recommend at all.
All in all, I think Korean Fried Chicken is fast becoming a dying fad…I don’t think I’ll be...
