Bobby’s Pizza — Restaurant in Wellington

We've ordered Pizza Express a a few times for work functions. The pizza is so consistently bad that I assume that it must be part of a special effort. The vegetarian pizza has this swirl of bright green goo on it that I've not been able to identify. It's possibly food, but not entirely sure. It tastes like a mixture of salt and green.

The other pizzas are pretty poor. The bases are just weird. Imagine an old intermediate school cooking class pizza made by a 9 year old and you're sort at the same level as Pizza Express.

I think they also do the fries in the microwave. At least that's what they look and taste like.

The garlic bread is not of this world. Don't confuse that with "out of this world", which is a superlative. I'm saying that I think the garlic bread was grown on another planet that is not compatible with organic...

I had high expectations, because of the other great reviews, and because the pizzas sounded like they had Indian flavours, but I was very disappointed. I tried two pizzas - the paneer and the veg korma. The paneer was ok but not amazing. No better than what I can get at Dominos. The veg korma was not even ok, it had a sweet taste to my palate, not savoury. When I eat pizza I want a cheesy, savoury experience not sweet. I would like to give a higher rating, but I can't because I'd rate Dominos a 3, and for me Pizza Express were a little worse than them.

Editing to add: appreciate the response and will try another pizza at some stage. I don't need a free pizza though, as there was nothing wrong with my meal, it just wasn't to my taste. ...

I enjoyed it alot, although I had wished that the cheesy crust wasn't as over powering as it was when fresh. Definitely enjoyed it more when reheated surprisingly. There is a large variety of pizza to choose from, even a few options without meat for my fellow vegans. I'm not aware if they offer dairy free cheese, sorry my vegetarian pals 😔. Staff were very kind, understanding and quick, and definitely one of the things that makes me want to go back more. Only major issue I have is how small the place is, it's quite shocking how they're even able to cook in there without dehydrating or...
