Top One Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

I went in recently with a client who is disabled and in a wheelchair. She enjoyed her carrot cake immensely but crumbs dropped on the floor. As I was reclipping her buckle to secure her in her seat more crumbs dropped onto the floor. The bald headed owner approached me aggresively and asked me if I was going to clean it up. I was apologetic and said yes I’ll clean it up and asked for a broom. He stormed off out the back and didn’t return. I then approached his wife/daughter and apologized and offered multiple times to sweep up. She politely declined and said not to worry about it. This experience has put me off ever returning sadly. He had no compassion or understanding of my clients disability and made an unnecessary scene when I had offered...

Greeted by smiling staff. Fresh looking food in the cabinet and a good menu including Big Breakfast. Bacon & zucchini slice was well cooked, tasty and filling. Eggs Benedict was well presented. Coffees and hot chocolate were served quickly... lots of foam on top and 2 marshmallows. Tables and soft couch seating areas too. Newspaper to read. Nice to sit in the window and watch the shoppers...

Bought the top one big breakfast for $20 and it was very small. Would have been ok if the quality was good too, but it wasn't unfortunately. I don't normally complain but receiving the very small breakfast on a big plate seemed very cheeky and deceiving.
