My friend and I had lunch there, wait time was good, my vegetarian biriyani was decent but my friend’s meal was not edible, her butter chicken was too salty, the chicken texture and taste was a bit off and her bread was really oily, I tried her food and it was not good. She is only took a couple of bites and left it, she said she gave this place 3 chances and it failed her each time therefore we won’t return.

I have eaten here multiple times. I can highly recommend the absolute home-cooked authentic Indian food available on Queen Street, at Queen Food Court: near Wakefield St. Nepalese family, the business is called BOMBAY CHINESE - but the food is very traditional home-cooked food where I am from, Bihar/Uttar Pradesh.

Vegetarian options! Tucked away in Queens Court, this hole in the wall of a family run gem! I ordered their Chole Bhature and Aloo Gobi Matar. Really tasty! It was served on a thali plate. I loved eating in the food court. I love the hustle bustle of the space!

Today i placed a order on phone pavbhaji , manchurian and schezwan fried rice . My husband picked up and thn we had food at home . We just had it first pavbhaji - bhaji was like sweet in taste and after taste was like its been made 2 days before . It doesnt taste fresh . While placing order i gld it to make extra hot but they didnt made spicy also . Pav( bread) was like a rubber to break a bite we have stretch 2-3 timed thn it cut into piece. When taste manchurian , we felt like we areeating pebbles as we couldnt do pieces wth spoon its too hard ... When we call the back ,we talked directly with owner.. they didnt even apologize or dnt even hve courtsey to say anything .. they tld next time when u come down to city take a free meal !! This really sounds like they really dont care .. When i tld them i want my money back, they were like bring food back and rmtake money.. Is this a way to talk ?? Why they want to get food back, just to offer same food to someone . When i went there ,one employee was their .. she was nice .. she said sorry and owner was their ..so i tld employee i am here to take my money back ..she called owner .. and tell me that we cant give money ..come next day to take money ..i was frustrated and pissed off..neither they apologize or felt guilty,,on top of that she is telling me beggar ..employee also vonfess they use food froxen one ..!! Really disguisting and worst experience ..

PLEASE DONT GO TO THAT PLACE THEY DONT KNW HW TO RESPECT OR TALK TO CUSTOMER. NEITHER THEY HAVE A COURTSEY TO SAY SORRY .. I HIGHLY RECOMEND TO PASS THIS MESG AND SPREAD THIS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN , TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM ANY DISEASE AFTER...

Finding unique cuisine in the middle of Auckland is hard as the well established favourites for the locals are well established.

Bombay Chinese brings something completely different as a mixture of Chinese and Indian food, the concept seems a bit bizarre but the team there makes it work well.

However, being something so unfamiliar, a menu without pictures makes it hard to know what you are ordering. The location is in an unfamiliar location.

The concept behind their food is captivating, but their very low price really limits what they can do and ultimately the quality of their food and ingredients - but take nothing away from their favouring and unique experience you will get.

Tip: Ask the friendly chef for a recommendation on what to have, they can make it the exact spiciness you...

We ordered Pav bhaji, Lamb Biryani and Samosa chaat. Bhaji smelt old and rotten, it was NOT made fresh, it was simply days old food that was reheated. The lamb in the Biryani was slimy, and there were only two little pieces of lamb found in the entire dish. Additionally, the texture of the biryani was wet and unappetizing, not resembling a typical biryani. We spent $50 and yet no refund was given even though we didn't consume the pav bhaji. The food was overpriced for their quality and taste and the pav was hard and chewy. Overall, the dining experience was very unfair and disappointing. Do...
