Munster Inn — Restaurant in Waitematā

Pretty disgusted with the way we were treated. Came here with my girlfriend on a Saturday night after midnight looking for some shelter from the cold. Sat around for a bit and got told to buy a drink, which is very fair so we bought two. We were having a pretty serious night and my girlfriend spent a lot of the time we were there crying in my arms, so we weren't exactly feeling very thirsty, so didn't have much. Guy from the bar comes over and tells us we weren't drinking, tells us to leave and accuses us sleeping. We explain we weren't, but the guy's stubborn and rude and doesn't budge. We were pretty shocked. I've been to a lot of bars on my time, and paying for my drink is usually a sufficient condition for one staying, not the number of sips they take out of it, provided they don't cause any trouble. Beers on da house and so it was to enjoy such a pleasant afternoon at an IRISH BAR. as one sings IT'S A LONG WAY TO TIPPERARRIE . GOOD GRACIOUS GREAT BALLS OF FIRE. GREAT ATMOSPHERE. The bar is spacious and well maintained but that's all there is to it. Nothing special when it comes to drinks. The food menu is almost non-existent and mostly consists of nuggets or some frozen processed foods. The food which we ordered tasted so stale. But that is still bearable. The biggest turnoff was how the bartender just refused to even utter a few words while we were inquiring about the drinks and food.
