H MART CITY (iMart) — Local services in Waitematā

I have literally never given or wanted to give a review to a grocery store in all my years living in 3 different countries (US, Amsterdam and India). Cuz it's a quick transaction, not much interaction with the staff and you leave the store in a short amount of time. Who cares about how nice you're being treated right? But if I'm having to leave a review, that too a bad one, that's how awful these people really are! How bad can the attitude of those working here be!? And it's two different women I've had the same experience with. I lived right next door until now so I've given this place a lot of chances when I've come to pick up some quick things. The woman today just crossed the limits- they look at you, roll eyes and give the worst, rude answer possible, scan you from top to bottom- like hello I've come to a cheap grocery store. Not a high end organic store in an expensive neighborhood (I can still understand being treated like this in such a store 🤣). I thought all the staff are just racist towards a brown woman, but looking at reviews they seem to be just rude no matter who walks in.

Don't even know if they care about reviews, but just awful. Thankful I'm leaving the neighborhood so never coming back...

I had a terrible experience here today! While I was shopping, my little boy wanted to go to toilet it was emergency and kind cashier young man allowed me to use toilet inside.but the old lady (아줌마)who is selling side-dishes didn't let him use toilet. How dare she is heartless and unkind to same korean people especially for little one!! You know there is saying ..When u are abroad, the first one the u need to avoid is korean..that's what I felt today in this market..I heard it the only korean market in the city! You guys should consider korean people as VIP! U run business thanks to korean people! U should appreciate it! I miss the Korean term (정) in NZ! I am not gonna visit this market again but I wish korean customers in Auckland are treated as precious...

05/08/2024 I went here today at night. The Korean lady is unfriendly. She is unhappy with her job. And i am not sure about the price of the single item of Dr. Clinic toothpaste is $4 or $4.7 because i thought the price shown in the store was $4 and She higher her voice do you want to buy it or not? There are 2 different colors of the Dr. Clinic toothpaste blue and red but i only can see the tag price in the store clinic $4 don't mention which color the price is. I am just making sure if the price is the same because i would recommend this to my friends. It’s not about the money it’s about the honesty. And staff attitude even matter more...
