The Churchill Cocktail Bar is perched as a rooftop bar at the top of the Four Points by Sheraton, on Queen Street, and offers a delightful combination of expertly crafted drinks, an inviting atmosphere, and some unique quirks that make it stand out.
We visited The Churchill after a late-night comedy show across the road at The Classic, and it proved to be the perfect spot to unwind and continue our evening. The cocktail menu at The Churchill is quite impressive. Each drink is meticulously prepared, showcasing both classic recipes and innovative creations. The bartenders are not only skilled but also passionate about their craft, ensuring every cocktail is a work of art. (They also didn't baulk at serving tall beers to the philistines in our group :))
The ambiance at The Churchill is elegant and tasteful, and the overall vibe exudes a sense of sophistication. When we visited, it was a bit quiet, which made for a peaceful and intimate experience. While it might not have been bustling, the calm atmosphere allowed for easy conversation and a more relaxed enjoyment of our drinks.
One quirky and delightful surprise at The Churchill is the view from the toilet. It’s not often that a bar restroom offers something to write home about, but here, the stunning view adds an unexpected touch of charm to the experience.
Outdoor seating is somewhat limited, but given that it's winter, this wasn’t a major concern. The indoor setting is well-appointed and comfortable. We were also pleased to find that The Churchill was still open late, which is a rarity these days when many establishments seem to close early.
Overall, The Churchill Cocktail Bar is a fantastic choice for those looking to enjoy top-notch cocktails in a serene and elegant setting. The unique charm of the place, from the meticulously crafted drinks to the surprising restroom view, makes it a memorable spot...
Read moreDo you like gin and/or cocktails (not necessarily gin-based) and/or impeccable service and/or incredible views? If you answered 'yes' to *any of the above, you MUST visit this stunning bar.
Gin lovers will be blown away by the selection of 200 gins from around the world (a respectable selection of local gins is accounted for, of course, but you'll also find some from Japan, the US, Spain and more) and will be delighted by the option to select your gin, your mixer & your garnish to customise the perfect G&T (or G&S, if soda is more your jam).
Cocktail lovers will be delighted by the beautiful creations on the menu (and history buffs will enjoy the little stories that accompany each). If you can't quite imagine what a given cocktail will taste like, ask the bartenders to walk you through it - and if none of the drinks on the menu strike your fancy, tell the bartenders what your tastes are and let them blow you away by creating something original just for you.
The vibe is immaculate, too - a bar where I can actually hear my friend's voice without having to shout but that still has a beautiful ambiance and background music. I was equally happy sitting at the bar alone, sipping a drink & chatting to the staff, as catching up with a friend.
Frankly, there's nothing not to love about...

First time here at The Churchill and the four of us all had the most amazing experience ever! It’s like a whole nother world up there that you forget you’re in the hustle and bustle of a busy city. The atmospheric views are just spectacular, you can see many beautiful landmarks. We arrived around 7pm and were greeted by the most lovely staff who showed us around before seating us. We ordered a few cocktails and a mocktail to start, these were outstanding! Aromatic, light and refreshing. We ordered one of everything on the menu between the 4 of us and it was definitely a great choice, the order of which dish came out first was in the talented chefs hands. The beautifully presented food arrived a short time after and in great order. All of the food was light and flavourful, your palette really uses all 10000 taste buds when you’re here. We couldn’t decide which one was the best because they were all outstanding, all of the components complemented each other.
Being up so high in the city at the bar with the sunset, the chill music, food and drink we felt free. All aspects of this place is well thought out, we have already organised with some friends to visit again very soon.
Thanks to all at The Churchill. We can’t wait...
