Face Club — Restaurant in Waitematā

19/05/18, two stars as I won't deny the good times I've had here in the past. Unfortunately after their most recent renovation the business model they're running is damn near a scam and for the first time in town I was furious beyond words. Face sells VIP tickets that give you additional benefits with pretty much the one and only benefit that reentry is SUPREMELY prioritized for you despite how 'overcrowded' they are at any given time. I was in line with another male friend and three female friends, we eventually made it to the front of the line and at that point they were already 'overcrowded' and yet immediately gestured for our female friends to go in for free without us plus the two more females somewhere further down the line, leaving only males in the line to wait. Very sexist and not a customer friendly gesture splitting friend groups up. We proceeded to wait at the front of the line for 30 minutes upwards, each time I tried to speak with one of the admission ladies or the manager that night they told me the same thing. "We apologize but we are too crowded right now, however if you wish you can purchase VIP and go in" After waiting for so long and asking me to pay quadruple the entry fee that night was quite insulting so my friend and I just left after that. Lying to our faces saying it's too overcrowded and then saying if you spend more money we'll let you in is just a blatant money grab. The whole night in line all we saw were consistent recycling of VIP customers coming in and out whenever they wished contributing to the "overcrowding problem" while the normal line remained still. Absolutely disgusting to alienate your other customers like this. If you want to run your entry model with two different prices at least put in some effort to run them both not only focusing on the pricier one. If that appears to be too much work for you guys then focus on having a single entry fee for all customers instead of ruining the cheaper entry lines night. On the bright side I can definitely recommend the bathrooms in this place, easy enough to use with ice cold water that's...

To be thoroughly blunt, the club itself is good it's definitely a place where I would go every month just to have a good time and night with friends. However I would recommend for staffs and security guard to treat people better. In such cases there was no sign that clearly says only staff and DJ's a staff was very rude to my friend that she gave him a death stare and told to leave. Even though my friend only wanted to ask a question since it was very loud he had to come closer to ask a question. If there was sign I can understand why the staff would be frustrated cause it clearly indicates that the person can't read. However if there was no sign at least tell us kindly and politely after all we came to Face Club to have fun not to be treated poorly and leave with an empty face but leave with a face filled with happiness and enjoyment.

Overall I would recommend the Face Club to everyone who wants to have a fun night as long as you ask questions before doing something and just follow the rules then you should have wild night. I would recommend at least bring at least 3 - 5 people to come along with you otherwise it...

Attempted to come here a couple weeks ago. Me, a female friend, and 3 male friends. Our male friends were let in didn’t have to pay and got a wristband and entered easily. We were with them and got let in, a wristband as well. Bouncers were lovely btw ! But as me and my female friend had already stepped foot into the actual club, the girl on the door came in grabbed us like I mean pulled my arm and led me to the front desk and were told we had to pay. Keep in mind none of my male friends, even tho we were in a group. We were super confused as to why only we had to pay Also bc no1 else we saw had to? Not wanting to cause drama we agreed she said $20 each she kept saying my card was declining, so we tried my friends card and she said that her was declining too… I don’t know how that could be possible. Anyway it took so long and clearly she was just singling us out for some reason and being super rude. So we left . Guess what? The next day there’s $40 taken out of my bank account. She lied saying my card was declining. Srsly what is her problem, stealing money is a serious issue. Get her...
