Xi'an Noodles Hobson — Restaurant in Waitematā

I went to this restaurant today with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is a hidden gem and we were pleasantly surprised by how great the food was. I've had minced chicken and corn soup before but this was by far the best I've had. The size of the soup was enough for 4 servings. I ordered sweet and sour pork with rice and could tell right away the chicken had been marinated - as in they took time to cook that bad boy, which is why I was even more amazed that the wait time was so short. I can't remember what my friend ordered but essentially it was pork, potatoes, and rice. We sampled each others food and ended up going for seconds from each others share hahahah. food wise, it's ok. Ordered the "boiled" dumplings. They were out of pork (at least that's what I understood) so tried the chicken. They were very nice! The mixed veggies with oyster sauce was great but a bit of a small portion. It's great with rice. The green beans with rice was not worth ordering. The dried chilies were over fried, pork was dry and the beans pretty much over cooked.

All in all a pretty ok place but a tad high on the price vs...
