Chinatown Restaurant — Restaurant in Lagos State

I have purchased food from this restaurant since I was in my teens and I've never had a bad experience but what occurred this evening has me in shock . I came in (which I rarely do ) and asked to place my order. The server assigned to me seemed a bit clueless and was disorganised but I didn't mind because they seemed to be overwhelmed. I placed my order and also decided to add pork chops . I couldn't remember exactly what the meal was called on their menu but I explained and she wasn't sure. I asked if it was the spicy pork named on the menu and she said she didn't know. I also asked if it was the Pork Chops Thai something something on the menu and she wasn't sure either. Unfortunately, my iphone was off amd i couldn't show her a photo so we went with that anyway because pork Chops are pork Chops universally right? To my surprise, the order came out form the chicken and the Pork Chops before me was chopped into bits and in a sauce - I already had another sauce and I asked to be sure that was my order and it was confirmed. I then said I had explained what I wanted to the lady that had taken my order but everyone acted like I was speaking Spanish. Probably because my voice was very calm and I didn't make it a big issue . I waited for my driver to come get me then I saw the lady that had taken my order , I signalled to her to tell her what had happened but I guess another waitress had told her that I had complained so she was SUPER DEFENSIVE . She went "its what I showed you and what you chose " , then she rolled her eyes and walked out on me . I was confused and tried to process what had happened so I called out to her twice and she completely ignored me (there was no one obstructing either of Us by the way so I confirmed that her rudeness was deliberate ) to my surprise and the surprise of the customers that sat behind me . The Asian woman there noticed and walked towards me to ask what the matter was , then the rude waitress on the low cut decided to finally look at me because her boss was involved. I didn't ask for a refund , all I wanted was the right order and didn't mind paying an additional sum but no one was willing to even hear me out. Again , probably because I was very calm as Nigerians only respond to customers who create unnecessary scenes . This issue was not handled properly and I have never been so embarrassed in my life . The wait staff made me feel like I was stupid or tripping. I am extremely disappointed with China Town & I will never in my life step into that establishment. It is unfortunate that my patronage has to end like this (I have not only constantly bought from them but introduced not less than 30 family and friends there over these years). They clearly have enough customers and do not need my money or do not deem me worthy to be respected or apologised to so I will never step my feet into that establishment. I would've posted this online as I have a very large following but I won't ruin their business just like that because of their staff's...

I'm not just being generous with my 5-star. They did earn it. Tosin of Money Africa had mentioned the restaurant on Twitter, and a lot of people praised it, so I thought to go and see for myself.

I had Chinese Chicken Fried Rice and Big Chapman. It's the food for Me. It was really good and more than enough, because I had to pack a portion as I was filled. It wasn't too spicy, just the right amount. But they served us with pepper sauce to spice up the meal. If you really enjoy pepper, you should ask for 2 saucers.😂 The food also came in good time. The Chapman was certainly big because I tried to finish it after being "full up".

The customer service was ok, but the Doorman was more than welcoming. He was so cheery when we walked in and when we were leaving. And that's a plus for me.

For ambience & space, it's a really simple place with roughly 10-12 tables. It was a weekday afternoon so it wasn't choked up nor full.

The best for the last-their prices. I don't think you will get Chinese food, even in China, for that amount😂😂😂 just check the menu pictures I shared. Good food at an affordable price, sign me up please💃 Certainly China Town & I will be seeing...

Rude staff and poor service! They treated me as if i was nobody! Meanwhile, I've been their customer for close to 6 years. I went in to have dinner for the second time in 2 months. The first time this happened, I waited to be attended to for about 20 minutes, and they all acted as if I didn't exist. Mind you, they were all gisting at the counter, about 5 of them. No one attended to me, and they didn't even notice when I walked out. Due to this experience, I had boycotted the place for about 2 months. I went back hoping that things would change after that, but to my dismay, the same thing repeated itself to the amazement of a customer who witnessed the event. He called them and spoke to them, but the lady still disregarded me and told him that she wasn't the one to attend to me. For this lackadaisical and nonsensical attitude, I have written them off permanently. There are better places with well-mannered staff. I am truly disappointed because it used to be my spot for...
