The Magic Ice Bar is a fantastic and unique experience! It's easy to find as it's located directly on the street, making it super convenient. The venue consists of two parts: a shop offering a variety of merchandise, from clothing to kitchen accessories, and the ice bar itself.
I recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends, as it can get busy. Upon arrival, you check in at the front desk, where the staff provide a quick overview and instructions. Then you're suited up in a large arctic poncho to keep warm before stepping into the ice bar.
The ice bar is small but charming, with a unique atmosphere. While not the most spacious, it offers a cozy and enjoyable experience. The bartender was incredibly friendly and added to the great vibe—much more so than the front desk staff, who were a bit less welcoming.
The drinks are served in creative ice holders made from plastic with an ice inlay, which are safe to hold with bare hands. They offer a nice selection of cocktails, shots, wine, and beer. The cocktail prices are 99 Norwegian Kronen.
All in all, it’s a memorable and fun outing. I definitely...
Read moreThe experience cost $64.22 USD for two adults, which included a two-drink package. Since this was my first time visiting an ice bar, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The location was fairly small, consisting of just two rooms, but the ice sculptures and artwork were impressive and added a nice touch to the atmosphere. We spent about 20 minutes inside, and it wasn’t crowded at all—just two other people were there, walking around and taking photos, which made it feel intimate and relaxed. The bartender was friendly, and the poncho provided was perfect for keeping warm in the freezing environment. However, the gloves they supplied made it difficult to handle my phone, so if you’re planning to take pictures, I’d recommend bringing your own gloves that allow more dexterity. Overall, I’m glad I had the experience, but it’s probably not something I’d do again—it felt more like a one-time novelty than a...

That’s a part of their ‘About’ section on the website. We went to the Tromsø location, and let me tell you: this is not an experience, it’s just a very cold bar. Yes, there are ice sculptures, a few, but it’s not an experience as they’re stating on their website. We knew it was a bar, but the website made it seem the exhibition was bigger and that sounded fun enough for us, non drinkers, to go. It wasn’t. Glasses were plastic btw, even though the website says they’re ice. It was the biggest waste of money ever, 300NOK def...
