Waited almost an hour for our food. We weren’t greeted very nicely and after we ordered, the staff wasn’t engaging at all All the food was lukewarm at best. I ordered my steak medium and it came completely raw. Instead of grilling a new piece they just stuck the old one back on the grill. I didn’t even get the piece I cut off to check the temperature, so I feel really scammed. The steak still came back too raw, but I stopped bothering. The staff seemed very unbothered by the mistake as well. The first server I made aware of the mistake continued to do something else instead of attending the problem right away. The taste was alright but hard to judge because everything was pretty cold. I don’t think anybody got warm food that evening, we could see into the kitchen and watch food waiting on the counter for 10 minutes until the whole order was completed or the server picked it up When we paid, it was more of the same story. The server just dumped the bill and the card reader on the table, not engaging with us at all. When we finished, she just picked up the machine, asked if I needed the receipt and just left. No thank you, no see you next time, nothing. After such a farewell, they shouldn’t be surprised if there isn’t...
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant experience I have had in Tromsø. First and only review I have ever written, but this was hortible. 1 star because of the nice and helpful staff and thats it. The bbq platter can only be ordered if you are two or more. Only bbq alternative left is really the ribs. The spareribs I was served had been sitting under a warm lamp for hours (best case) but I suspect they were yesterdays left overs. Tasted sour and were dry. The coleslaw had a brownish skin on the top and was warmer than food safety dictates for mayo containing products. Corn on the cob was drier that the Sahara and brown instead of yellow. Would have also appreciated if the waiter had informed me that the spareribs come with a serving of fries, so that I wouldn’t have to order an extra one. And whats the thing with a lemon in my pilsner?!? ANY restaurant in Tromsø i way better than this and deserves a visit. Yes its a popular place but so...
Read moreI highly recommend ordering the "grillfest" as I find it to be a quite unique and social eating experience. The food tastes good and you get unlimited orders of side dishes, so you'll never leave hungry. It IS a bit expensive but well worth it for a one-time experience.
I myself ordered a burger which, in comparison, wasn't that good. The bread to meat+topping ratio was WAY off and I could basically only taste the bread a lot of the time. The meat itself was also cooked a bit too long for my liking and I found it a bit dry.
Finally we ordered the "dessertfest", which is the same concept as the aforementioned "grillfest" but for desserts. I recommend this one. Keep in mind though that you'll probably want to order for half the people that are actually planning to eat as it's a whole meal in and of itself. You'll find it hard to eat everything if not, especially after already having eaten a whole main...
