From the outside, the restaurant exudes an old-school charm, with furnishings that seem untouched by time. Stepping inside, the interior is exactly what you’d expect—rustic furniture reminiscent of the Spanish colonial era, evoking the vibe of dining in a quiet, laid-back province.
We were warmly greeted by a friendly staff member, who promptly got someone to take our order. The service was efficient, and our food arrived in under 10 minutes. We ordered two chicken inasal dishes—one quarter cut and one breast wing—as well as a pork satay. My friend also opted for turon, banana wrapped in a spring roll, served with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Each dish came with rice.
The chicken inasal was absolutely delightful—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked without the overly fatty parts that sometimes come with thigh meat. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pork satay, however, was a different story. Its texture was unpleasant, and it had a slightly sour taste that I couldn’t tolerate, so I ended up spitting it out. (Apologies to the chef!) Read moreI’ve been going here since I was a kid because I live a block away. I visited recently and unfortunately the service had really declined. No one greeted us as we walked in so we basically just chose our table. When they delivered our drinks to our table they just ploped it on the table. When we told the waiter the two drinks were for the two people on the other end of the table the waiter just gave one shake to the person and left the other. Really couldn’t care less. They didn’t give us water either. Had to ask for it. It’s not like the restaurant was full lol there were only three...
