Conti’s has always been one of those go-to places for comfort food & comfort vibes for me — at least that’s how it’s always felt, especially at the BF branch where the energy is warm & familiar coz it's like home. You leave feeling full, not just in the stomach, but in spirit. You leave happy, like you just came from a friend’s house.
So when I dined tonight at their Century City Mall branch, I was expecting the same warmth. But, something felt dim. It's not so much of the lighting, but it doesn't make you want to come back. The food's still good, still got that Conti's flavor. But the vibe was down, sad, and disconnected. The staff were polite, the place clean, the plates familiar but the soul of it felt missing. No spark. No chatter. Just people going through the motions.
I guess I was just looking for warmth. Not here to complain, I'm still a fan. But when you know how good something can be, it's hard not to notice when it's not there. Here's to hoping that today ( tonight) was...
Read moreFirst time trying Contis restaurant so there's no certain expectation yet. We love the food. Fair for its price. Upon entering the place, they have wide variety of pastry that you can purchase to go.
Dined in here and we ordered baked salmon, beef salpicao, fresh lumpia, macaroni salad and ube halo halo. The baked salmon was good but the cheese topping was overwhelming that there's an "umay" factor while trying to finish the dish. On the other hand, beef salpicao's serving size was a bit awkward seeing the size of the plate. The beef amount was lesser than expected, especially on the amount of rice served. The taste was good tho but the tenderness of the beef was a bit.. I mustn't say because I'm a cat. I don't like hard things.
The atmosphere was great tho the service was kind of slow and it's hard to get attention of the servers.
Still overall rating of 4/5. I would recommend the macaroni salad, fresh lumpia and ube halo halo, they're...
Read moreHad the unfortunate opportunity to dine here.
The food is sub par at best. It’s even worse when half the menu is unavailable due to missing items in their kitchen. We ordered the Filipino breakfast and soy chicken meal, after having to pivot twice as they were out of pork and other items. The food lacked flavours and generally served not very warm.
The servers and service is what completely makes this place shine in all the wrong places. There are many servers (6-7) however they all sit around and gossip and chat like it’s a hangout.
Water won’t even come to your table as they’re all busy hanging out and goofing off.
The music here is played at ungodly levels. Not a very inviting or comfortable place to eat as your yelling over the music to have a decent conversation.
Avoid this restaurant...
