Katherine's Cafe - Glorietta — Restaurant in Makati

We’ve been going to Katherine’s in Glorietta whenever we visit Makati, however our last visit was a big disappointment. There were 3 of us. We ordered puttanesca pasta, hamburger with fries, grilled salmon and spinach dip for appetizer. We were told it will take 15-20 minutes. After 15-20 minutes the spinach dip was served followed by the pasta. Then another 20 minutes went by and the rest of our order was still not served so we followed up with the server. Our food was served cold which clearly has been sitting in the kitchen but our server forgot to serve it. When I complained about the food being cold the server took it back and 2 seconds later brought my food back. I was told that it was a fresh batch but clearly it was microwaved. I know fresh food from microwaved food especially fish. This tasted like reheated leftover food. The fish was dry and the rice was hard. Needless to say the food was awful. The other person ate his burger and fries cold cuz he was hungry since we had to wait for our food for a long time. Even though I was also hungry from waiting a long time I can only eat enough just to satisfy my hunger. The dry fish left a bad taste in my mouth so if they still insist that they gave me fresh instead of microwaved food then they need to replace...

On March 12, 2019 at dinner time me and my daughter were exhausted from running errands the whole day. We came across what looked like a new restaurant in Glorietta. Seeing as we were hungry and the place looked nice we sat down.

Three of my orders were not available, these were apparently their "BEST SELLERS". All happen to be Filipino dishes. So, I settled with a caesar salad and corned beef hash with rice.

I was shocked when I saw the salad! The presentation was horrible. It looked like the lettuce had been chopped in half and then a "few" ingredients were chucked on top. My husband is a chef so he warned about salads in restaurants. So, I had a look around the salad and saw what looked like a peppercorn. I had a bad feeling so I discreetly put it to the side of my plate. All of a sudden it started moving and a maggot squirmed its way out!!! It was a maggot!!

To make things worse when I informed the waitress she offered to replace it with another salad. I was speechless. I couldn't look at the plate anymore. We weren't even offered a discount or anything to calm us down from this horrifying experience. I'm very disappointed and won't be going back because I am...

I love everything that I ordered here. I'll come back because I want to try more of their food. I'll probably visit a different branch for a new review.

I had sandwich, mango something cake, and chocolate something shake. Haha.

Everything was good. I made a mistake by eating my cake while drinking my shake. Sugar rush.

I was looking for a place to eat where I can read and rest. This place was not in its usual state when I came here because this place was always full and I've been eyeing this for a long time.

There were only 2 people inside when I went in, then after just a few minutes, people started coming in.

Arrggg. The place gets busy fast.

It gets noisier and busier, plus, the place was too small so you can literally hear (gossip) everything. Haha.

On my left there's a "meet the mother of the gf" scenario. The mom, investigating the background of the guy. The girl's fam seems well-off, the guy is into sports, specifically basketball. They are both in college and the mom was worrying because her daughter's grades are going bad.

On my right, strong independent women discussing business and work. You go...
