EASILY THE WORST SAMGYUPSAL EXPERIENCE!!!

We recently dined in the Glorietta branch and we were seated in a table where alot of people pass and where the aircon is directed at. Note that we went there in the afternoon where only a few people were eating, initially this will be ok if the place is full but to be seated where people queue is already questionable as it invades personal space. Air-conditioning is direct to us and I have companions who are allergic to the cold so we had to ask them to move us because again, the place is not even half full. This is where it gets frustrating –this server talks in their mic and tells someone that we requested to be moved and the person at the other end of the line (appears to be the manager who is behind us) loudly said “saan daw nila gusto malipat?????” like it was an issue. If it was, they could’ve told us but they chose to do this and ended up moving us elsewhere.

The meat is ok, quite far from the samgyupsal standard in the city. Some mid-range samgyupsal quality is better, considering that the price is 699+service charge. The cheese? it’s bland liquid cheese. Hot plates and side dishes? just ok so nothing special but you’re off to a better restaurant that offers better selection with better service.

Lastly, one of our companions arrived late and we were almost done eating, probably last 3 servings as a group. We paid for the bill and had a few leftover. Note that the leftover was actually 2 pcs of thin radish sidedish and 1 nugget which the late companion had a taste of (allegedly). We didn’t bother asking for a footage to prove it because we didn’t want to argue about a small thing and just accepted that we were wrong because she wasn’t a full-paying customer and we willingly paid for a full price but this server (Rona) and the manager were straight up rude. They were gossiping, giving us death stares, had the audacity to really “guard” our table from afar like we’re criminals. This Rona server and the manager knew that they gave us the attitude and they didn’t serve us throughout our stay. They didn’t even bother serving us well and redirect all our request to other servers. What a waste of money, especially the service fee that was required to be paid for. It’s better to revisit the required service charge for worst customer service, no?

Oh btw, for people who like paying the bill in advance before finishing up the meal–don’t bother because once you settled the bill, they’ll charge you the full price...

I usually don't write reviews unless a place is really bad. No idea how this place got so many good reviews but all the reviews about bad services are right. They have people sitting out front that don't greet customers or take them inside. They just sat there watching videos on their phones. The staff are not friendly or approachable. My friend and I ordered the unlimited ramyum and I can tell you that is a lie. I tried to order a second bowl twice and never got it. They just completely ignored my order and just brought us the bill. On top of that, the noodles were undercooked. I could understand if the place was full and a lot of people were ordering ramyum at the same time but it wasn't. The place was barely half full and they were pushing out undercooked noodles.

We also did not get everything that we ordered on the list. Not sure how they keep track of orders but it seems like there is a problem here if other reviews are also mentioning not receiving all their food order.

Typically, at a kbbq, the staff would cook the meat for you. They do not do that here. They just leave the meat at your table and walk away. They don't even bother to oil/butter the grill for you so you can grill the meat without it sticking. I personally prefer to cook the meat myself so that's not a big deal to me. Just a heads up for those that are used to kbbq places with staff that will cook the meat for you then.

As for the atmosphere, the background music is a bit too loud to be able to have a conversation.

P.s. if you have a VAT exemption card, look somewhere else. They will not honor it here because they consider it...

READ BEFORE YOU GO HERE TO EAT.

I’m updating the previous review I provided from a year back. Obviously a lot of things changed over time (and to think it’s only been a year since my last review is crazy). Things were great back then but now, I couldn’t even recognize if this was the same JinJoo we liked. I’ll itemize everything from my recent visit:

Serving portions have decreased. We ordered unlimited and we only got a small amount of meat every serving. Staff took too long to get back to us. And this was in comparison to our other visits with way more people dining in. Despite several follow-ups, you wouldn’t be attended to after you’ve exhausted your patience. Their ramen and steamed egg are no longer included in their unlimited menu. Probably to avoid wastage. Their unlimited side dish bar only had four items and they changed taste every refill. It was almost like it’s a different cook making the food every time. You only get ONE serving of their mozzarella cheese even if you ordered UNLIMITED. You only get ONE lettuce leaf every refill. Their meat options have become limited. They are faster to deliver the bill to you than the food you follow up on several times. This was the nail on the coffin.

There were some things that others might appreciate:

Self-serve unlimited soft-serve. Self-serve side dish bar.

I tried to be as honest in this review as I could. I used to love this place but after my experience last week, I can say I’m not going back. There are other better options out there that would get you more out...

If you’re looking for a good food but affordable Korean resto, this is NOT the place you should go. Unwelcoming staff, dirty floors, had to tell the staff to turn on the fans cause it was suffocatingly hot and flies were going around. Service charge here is P250 and for that price you’ll get an inattentive staff;had like four servers and a manager to turn on the stove that keeps turning off for 30 minutes and they’re even the ones who were irritated because we kept saying it’s not turning on. So instead of placing us on a different table, they kept trying to on/off the stove until they offered a manual on — after 30 minutes! Frustrating isn’t it? Let’s go about the food. Serving here are small and expensive — way too expensive for its mediocre taste and mediocre serving. See photos below for a very small cup of rice P60 , P350 for an order of marinated chicken that is supposed to fill 2 people ??, side dishes that’s not even that good, and P350 for a pitcher of mediocre iced tea — nothing special about it. For a mediocre set of food, serving, and service — you’ll spend P2,000+ for three people! Eat here if you wanna waste money and time but better go to Poblacion or Soban or Masil for a good Korean food experience. Went here because of good reviews but apparently, it’s really not that good.
