Kuya J - SMDC Jazz Mall — Restaurant in Makati

If it was just the food I was rating I'd give it an easy 4 - 4.5, I have no complaints whatsoever about the food. The food is really good but what ruins the experience here is how slow service is.

I dont think its because they're understaffed because at when I came in I noticed about 4 servers by the counter and another 2 going around fixing and cleaning tables.

My friend pointed out it might be the kitchen staff because if that area slows down so does everything else.

The other issue I see and continually notice when I come here is once it takes awhile for the food to show up and the customers get ansty from the long wait time most the staff seem to start staying out of the floor as if avoiding the customers who may get angry. Honestly there were a lot of times I felt like I was being ignored to.

Eventually the customers get irritated even more. And I feel bad for the servers who really put in an effort to at least handle and placate the irrate customers. I've already seen two people get mad enough to yell in some of my visits here.

I come back for the food and I time it so that theres not to many people so its a little faster. But times like now when theres a rush of people because its dinner or lunch well...

Honestly please fix your service kasi sayang, your food is great and thats what keep some people coming back but if it falls in quality you can bet me and many others wil stop coming.

For any company sometimes it wont matter how great your product is. If your customer service is bad theres only so much a great product can do. Bad service is enough to make people just nt deal with you because its just not...

Everything I've ever tried from their menu is so-so. I've tried several branches already and its mostly the same experience. The quality control/assurance of their food is inconsistent. The entire experience in summation would feel like a Russian roulette. You'll never know what kind of taste/texture you're getting. You can only hope for the best.

The only thing I can commend is their filipino style spaghetti pasta. If you are craving for spaghetti from pancake house and can't afford it. This is the place to get your fix.

If you ask me about everything else? Well... "May the odds be ever...

Very disappointed because: a. we ordered our foods however 3 out of 5 orders were not available as per the waiter said. b. Waiter seems not properly trained in servicing customer correctly because quite snobbish in taking our orders. c. Most of the service crews were just chatting by themselves without paying attention to the customers in the resto.

Thus I suggest Kuya J in SM Jazz to close then if most of the foods are not available and the service crews seem not interested to work properly at all.

If you go to SM Jazz for your meal, advised not to patronize Kuya J...
