Terra Wellness Spa — Hotel in Malay

Excellent service and great value for money!

Having a busy and active lifestyle back home, I decided to kick off my two week Philippines' holiday with a Deep Tissue Massage and Revitalizing Facial. At first, I was impressed how the reception was well presented. It was manned by their spa manager, Pam, who greeted me with a warm and hospitable smile. She then asked me to select the oil scent for my treatment. I forgot what I picked but it was a relaxing scent. She then, introduced me to the massage therapist, Jonah, who is as welcoming as her.

Jonah took me to their treatment room which is on the second floor of the Discovery Shores. I was surprised how relaxing and oppulent the room is. I believe it has sound proofing as i couldn't hear any noise from the outdoor pool where kids were playing.

Jonah, initially treated me with a nice cool drink (non alcoholic) and a foot bath which i thinkit was a nice touch and a really good start of the therapy. I can tell that Jonah is well experienced as she was able to find and release 'knots' in my muscles. She was also very mindful of the pressure she is applying and always checked on me if it is okay still. Of course, I just say yes. :)

Anyway, I couldn't say more about this experience but it is the best by far as to what I've experienced both in Australia and Philippines. I recommend Terra Spa to anyone who is looking for a great spa experience at the beginning (i recommend) or at the end of their holiday.

Lastly, kuddos to Sand's Restaurant for having the best coffee (soy flat white) in the Philppines! What i had was very close to what we have back home. Yes, Melburnians are coffee snobs so take my word for it.
