How to lose a grateful guest in 2 steps.
Honest review:
I had already been to this restaurant for a dinner buffet and wanted to come again because it seemed like a cool place.
I can't say the food was amazing, but it's a decent buffet, and I enjoyed my evening here. The artists were very pleasant. And a special shout-out to the runner guys who refill drinks. They deserve respect.
However, I can't say the same about the reception team. A girl named Princess with a matching attitude and a guy not sure about his name.
Today, I arrived a bit early and wanted to reserve a table to have at least as good experience as I had last time, but I encountered a very unpleasant attitude. Very unpleasant.
Let me explain.
First, they asked me several times, "Just only one?" First Princess, then this guy. As if coming to dinner alone is something shameful same as I came naked. Then, I was refused a reservation in a disdainful manner, with a reference to "follow the rules." Buddy, to follow the rules, they need to be posted somewhere. You can't just stand there and make them up in your head. Where are these rules? When I asked how to familiarize myself with them, I was told they are nowhere.
The conclusion is obvious. I suggest getting rid of such negligent non-professional employees (I’m 15+ years in horeca) and replacing them with something more appropriate. Inappropriate rudeness should be nipped in the bud. First time I see that kind of behavior from local...
Read moreIt’s so confusing how to get a table, the entrance felt like a traffic jam, people pushing people and the main hostess provided little information to guests causing lots of confusion, though you could see she was trying her best to get you a table - it’s not her fault but poor planning and management from team leaders. The service was poor and we received little attention from anyone. Our table was so tightly packed between walls and other tables that every time we got up we had to take extra measures to maneuver around other people eating, made it very uncomfortable for all parties. The food selection is great though but after you pay you find out that you did not get drinks included and so you have to go back to the entrance to pay again, no thanks-I’ll stick with water. Though food selection was good, food was cold and hard to reach from dishes. Overall poor experience, would...
Read moreBaddest service in Boracay, ever! We were asked to pay before getting seated. They did not give a receipt. The receptionist said there's no available seat inside so we asked to be seated at the front (al fresco area), Jeanne (the receptionist) said those tables are reserved for people who order drinks. I asked her to check again and she said she already checked. They seated us on the tables by the side of the restaurant (outside) which would have been fine but we saw several empty tables inside (couch area who i assume are reserved for four), sitting outside would have been fine but when we returned after getting food from the buffet, our table was not even set (no cutleries). I called the attention of a server to tell him that this is by far the baddest service i had in Boracay. Few minutes later, the same server informed us that he can transfer us inside. The food...
