We travel to Boracay on Jan 8 to 10 with my family and friends. we choose bamboo bungalow for a few reasons. #1 its beachfront, the bamboo setting of the cottages and lastly the hammock that sell it. ||||The check in was fast, they don't have a big receptions area its just a small space with a counter to check in. when you walk towards your rooms you will feel like your not in Boracay a lot of trees that blends to the cottages that are made of bamboo and it become peaceful as you don't hear the people at beachfront.||||Our cottage got 2 rooms, they are big and good for 3 or more people, one queen size bed and 1 single bed on both rooms. the rooms have aircons. the living room has the hammock and kitchen but its not aircon though they provide a stand fan. You can cook your own food as they provide utensils for cooking and eating and a stove. you will feel that your really staying in provinces. the place is very quite.||||one drawback in this bamboo settings is that there are to many mosquito's even in your own room. so be prepared to bring off lotion for your family. the toilet and room doors are not lock or don't have a key. but not much of an issue as i'm with family and the main door was lock.||||they provide breakfast but not buffet and a few choices only but good enough not to make you hungry. ||||the staff are nice and helpful, though we do our own thing but when we ask for help on something they ready to assist and provide what we need.|||| The Wifi connections was very good and fast, compared to other hotels that we stayed in Iloilo before we went to boracay. ||||I will be back to this place on my next visit to Boracay and recommend this to other friends. ||If your looking for a basic(normal) and peaceful in boracay, this is the...
Read moreI do not recommend this property, especially during the rainy season.
We stayed here July, and this was our second accommodation in Boracay. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the overall condition of this place and ended up moving to another hotel.
Firstly, the property is difficult to find as there’s no visible signage. The public restrooms were filthy and seemed neglected. The walkway leading to the apartments was flooded. Upon entering our booked room, we were greeted by a foul odor reminiscent of feces at the door entrance. The outdoor area of the apartment was cluttered with bottles and styrofoam filled with stagnant water, creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes—an obvious safety hazard.
There were several issues with the apartment itself: the hammock advertised was nonexistent, the towels had blood stains, and the apartment was clearly not cleaned before our arrival, with sand still on the beds. The ceiling was leaking, and one of the room locks was broken.
When we raised the issue of the missing hammock, the staff was dismissive, showing little concern about the false advertising. When we discovered the blood-stained towels, there was no staff around. Eventually the person who assisted us with the luggage came, so we requested for towel replacement.
There seemed to be no one properly managing this property, so we decided to look for another hotel. The place was clearly poorly managed.
The only good thing here was probably the location as it is beach front, but there are many hotels in the area at the same price range, that offers room amenities, clean rooms and safe environment. This place only offers the apartment itself, so I would recommend staying elsewhere especially if you're...
Read moreStayed 7 nights over New Year. The location is great! Right in the middle of station 2 next to main area of shops (D-Mall) and restaurants & bars. I had the seaview room with beautiful partial views of the beach. The room and balcony were huge and I had a fridge, AC, money box, large bed, hammock etc Just didn’t like the restaurant being right next to my balcony - no privacy - perhaps ask for the rooms on the right instead of the left. |Also know that there is a bar (Exit Bar) in front of the reception and there’s no great signage saying Bamboo Bungalows - it isn’t easy to find - my driver had to ask a dozen people before we found the place as it’s right on the beach and automobiles can reach it so they’ll leave you on the main street. Ask for Exit Bar, it’s easier. And luckily in the end I managed to get someone to help carry my suitcase down to the beach as the alley to the beach was dark and flooded. |The typhoon hit the day before so no internet services, no hot showers etc. Not their fault but the only thing that upset me was when i lost the key (which i know is my fault) ended up costing me 1,500 pesos! |Check in and out was fast, and they helped have someone carry my suitcase to the main road for a taxi. Overall, I would still...
