Summer Place — Restaurant in Malay

The BOUNCER who works her hit a WOMAN and my friends. The workers and place did nothing to help and lied for the bouncer. Worst place ever left with fractured ribs, broken nose all by the BOUNCER who works for them. As tourist we went to this local joint and had a frightful and horrible experience. We wanted to speak to the manager because we were being charged for drinks we didn't order. We had had 1 round of beers and were absolutely sober. I'm a girl and I was manhandled by the bouncer after he physically assaulted my brother and his friend who were with me. He grabbed me and when I told him to let go he started getting aggressive. After hitting us this local Filipino bouncer who works there laughed and said “call police you have no proof no camera”. My brother got hit and broke his nose following which this man also hit me and I fractured my ribs. This man who works for the bar as a bouncer was drinking on the job and walked away from all of this without any consequences. I spent hours at the police station but they wouldn’t do anything about it and did not even take a complain. We were attending boracay for a wedding and staying at a five star resort. We went out to see the local nightlife, and as tourists we felt so helpless because no one was helping us including the police or locals. We had to cut our trip short and fly back to America...

Very disappointed on how unfairly we got treated by the 3 bouncers at the door this evening. First we got in for free before entrance fee starts at 9, which is great, thanks for that. 3 of the drinks we wanted weren’t even available at the bar (they’ve run out), next they DON’T accept card, cash only (not even mentioned at the door), so i had to then run to DMall to take cash out from the cash machine. When i got back, the rude bouncer won’t let me in cause apparently it’s already 9pm and was then charging me 500php for entrance fee despite being already in before. Highly overrated, ridiculous fees, rude bouncers. Won’t go back there ever again. Such a shame cause it’s been recommended to me by a friend, and i was really looking forward to a good experience there. Very...

Racist Treatment at Summer Place Boracay

I had a terrible experience at Summer Place on New Year's 2023. My Filipino friends and I were charged a hefty entrance fee by what seemed to be the white woman owner/manager. It was shocking and disheartening, especially because, just a few minutes later, my white friends arrived and were allowed to enter for free.

What makes this even worse is that they’re in our country, yet they had the audacity to show such racist treatment toward Filipinos. This blatant discrimination ruined what was supposed to be a fun celebration. It’s unacceptable for a business in a diverse and inclusive place like Boracay to treat people differently based on their ethnicity.
