Frankie's New York Buffalo Wings - SM Megamall — Restaurant in Mandaluyong

I wasn't keen on trying this because I heard their products aren't spicy enough, but I was pleasantly surprised and surprisingly delighted when I tried it during a company lunch-out. The 3 flavors I tried are:

Classic Buffalo Wings Super Spicy with Blue Cheese Dip - The spice is similar level with Buffalo Wings and Things Firehouse, and their dip is creamy with just a mild hint of blue cheese.

Salted Egg - The salted egg yolk powder is heavenly! And it's spicy too, as in there are whole chilis in it.

Salt and Pepper with Aoili Dip - A very flavorful take on fried chicken, and the aoili dip is really creamy and complements the otherwise basic flavored chicken.

What I like about Frankie's: taste of their chicken (which is evident in their salt and pepper - well-seasoned base) and variety of taste and texture (it's not just spicy sour buffalo sauce).

But I hope they would have a customizable sampler. Right now, they only have Wings World with fixed flavors in the set. I also hope they have more choice of dips i.e. stronger blue cheese dip, salsa; and more choice of rice i.e. garlic rice, dirty rice, rice for sharing.

IMHO, Frankie's is a trendy and curated buffalo wings place that appeals to the taste buds of people who find other buffalo places intimidating i.e. people who aren't too keen on spicy sour sticky buffalo sauces. But it's also nice that they have some flavors for people like me who want the classic buffalo flavors. So it's a win-win! The long lines during lunch and dinner serve as testament to this!

We ate in there yesterday 7/1/2024 around 3pm. There's a crew in there. That was rude because she shouted at me. even I'm just asking to repeat her question because I didn't hear since she has a mask and got shocked because this is the first time that someone shouted at the counter with no reason. I was nice to her asking to repeat her question but she suddenly shouted at me.

She's not even saying sorry after I got mad because of that. I was a cashier before with same location but a different stall in the food hall and I was a cashier to a fastfood KFC. And I never did that because that was rude and forbidden to do it.

We even ask her what time she's started her shift and her shift is 2-11pm. How could she so rude when shs just started shift? It's not actually right. And tried to understand it but it's not acceptable to that with customer. Take note I just ask 1 question only to repeat her word. I didn't even hear sorry from her. So disappointed with...

My favorite place for chicken wings. My favorite flavors are Garlic Parmesan and Honey Garlic. I also like Cheesy Bacon, but it's hard to finish all six on your own.

It's better if you eat with other people so that you get to try out more of the flavors instead of just one. For first timers, go for Wings World (it has my favorite Garlic Parmesan together with Smokey BBQ and Nagoya Tebasaki). Nagoya Tebasaki is my family's favorite cause they don't like food that's too salty.

Nagoya is the perfect balance of salty and sweet and is perfect if I'm introducing Frankie's to anyone, especially to someone older like my mom or her friends.
