I recently visited an Italian restaurant and while it was a good experience overall, I have to admit that it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. Perhaps it's just my personal taste, as I'm not particularly fond of European cuisine. However, I'd like to highlight one standout dish that caught my attention— the Truffle Fries. They were undeniably delicious and even won over the hearts of my family, including the kids.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, with warm lighting and rustic decor. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing prompt service throughout our meal.
When it came to the food, the menu offered a variety of classic Italian dishes, ranging from pasta to pizzas and more. While the flavors were well-executed, I found them to be quite familiar and lacking that "wow" factor. Again, this is likely a matter of personal preference, as European cuisine doesn't particularly excite my taste buds.
However, the Truffle Fries were a delightful surprise. The crispy texture and aromatic truffle flavor made them a standout dish. It was a pleasant departure from the traditional Italian fare and a welcome addition to the menu. I must say that even my family, especially the kids, couldn't get enough of them. The portion size was generous, allowing us to share and savor the tasty treat together.
In conclusion, my experience at Italiannis was enjoyable, albeit not particularly memorable for me personally. The Truffle Fries were the highlight of the meal, winning the approval of both myself and my family, especially the kids. If you're a fan of European cuisine and seeking a cozy dining spot, this restaurant might be worth a visit. However, if you're like me and prefer other types of cuisine, you might not find anything truly...
Read moreAMBIENCE It's a pretty restaurant and lots of space is available for dine-in. Location is one of those paths between the old and new parts of Shangri-la Mall.
FOOD We kept it simple and only ordered a regular-sized Sicilian Salad, which was pretty filling for two people already. It has romaine, mangoes, red grapes, walnuts, and creamy anchovy dressing. Every bite was very tasty and we had an abundance of free bread to go with it.
SERVICE Even near closing time, we got excellent service thanks to the delicious food of the chefs at that late hour plus our server Marj. She was friendly, light, proactive, attentive, and informative (about the beverages she offered when we arrived). We're very impressed and would strongly consider visiting this specific branch in...
Read moreDinner Thursday 26 December 2024. Italian themed restaurant with quality Italian style food and would rate Italianni's at 4 and a half. Shared different dishes with the family with calamari starters to large pizza and spaghetti and rib eye. Sicilian salad with walnuts, grapes and mango made a good accompaniment with the main courses. Rib eye steak had some fat on one end but the meat was juicy and tender. Chicken piccata was acceptable. The pizza was a class above the S&R pizzas. However my best dish was the seasoned potato wedges which were crispy on the outside and melt in the mouth in the middle. Best potato dish I've had in the Philippines so far. Frozen Margaritas went well too. Yes would...
