I have always been a Starbucks fan for a decade now and this is the worst feeling I have ever felt from all of my dine in experience here.
It was my birthday last 13th of December. I was excited to claim my Free Starbucks cake as I have been doing since the beginning. Since I skipped SB for 2 years due to pandemic. I kinda lost my access to my SB app and forgot my password.
A day before. I ask one of the employees how can I claim it since they no longer use the physical card unlike before. She was was very helpful. Educate my to just log in and show proof of Date of Birth.
I came back and talk to another barista and told me to claim the birthday cake. I have to purchase a 300 peso to fund my SB app account. Since, I wasn't told about the new terms and conditions which I read just now. It clearly says here that the account should be activated atleast 7 days prior of my birthday.
Now here's what happened, After I purchased and used the card. It was charged to account. Now I asked for an explanation to the lady Barista. There was no voucher to be claimed, so I have to pay for it. I was so mad.
It was my birthday and this is my reward/comfort food and suddenly. She just said it like it was nothing. She doesn't care at all that it was my birthday. Regardless of the day, the way my my friend and I was treated in this store is just absolute worse.
If I knew or atleast been explained the reason I didn't qualify would have made perfect sense but I was treated horribly like no emotions at all. Now, my friend case is a bit different but same treatment.
My friend has a PWD 5 year old kid. She was asked for a sign to authorize the transaction. But directed to his son and not her. Which by the way rude. To be honest she is the legal adult/guardian. She felt like she is being tested if she really does have a PWD child knowing that she is privileged to this ID for all the challenges of his childs situation. She added. This will only be added to the take out order.
Why would she ask that? Why would she do that? Why did she just explain why do you need to ask that question. I told her. You know what, I don't wanna ruin my day because I was having a great day and I'll let this pass. But deep in my mind. I could let this go. We are just ordinary customer that should be treated equally without judgements.
I'm not entirely what this lady Barista is going through but we just hoped that she had a great day because. We do not know here and her situation but atleast give us respect and proper education of the store policy rather than an emotionless attitude.
My friend was hoping to get an Area manager but they they had none that day. Now, I really that this won't happen to anyone else, this was horrible birthday experience on my favorite store. I'm not asking for too much. I just want to be treated fairly. I was always happy with SB but now. And also,I always ordered extra shot for some drinks, sometimes good taste ,sometimes bad taste, your starbucks don't have a recipe for this? Why I spend money and get the bad taste drinks??? I did go back and request for redo the drinks,because It is really unacceptable for the taste,just like water,nothings drinks. Is this taste supposed to have when I ordered extra shot?
Really bad experience !!!! How many times i need to accept their rude attitude ???? Is this service provide from starbucks!!!??? So bad actitude!!! Especially the cashier who order drinks for me , I ordered from apps, it supposed not to do wrong everytimes!!!!!! She blind or I ordered wrong ,she should let me know if I ordered wrong drinks or how, but she straight away throwing the cup with wrong drinks hardly, just like I am the one who doing wrong.!!!
