VALUE FOR MONEY FOOD THAT DOESN’T HOLD BACK IN FLAVOUR

Went to Lauan for Friday night dinner. We were 4 in our group and all of us are first timers here. The resto has a laidback atmosphere with wooden table and benches for seating. Their menu is quite extensive with predominantly Filipino dishes as their offerings. However, they also have crowd favorites such as nachos and pizza that would be best in group diners. For us, we each got their rice bowls, salad, and sangria (B1T1 promo every Fridays & Saturdays). The food was served immediately and all of us were pretty satisfied with the flavor. Got a bit of attitude from one of the female staff who served us but not bad enough to ruin our night. The experience was overall positive and would definitely be back to try out more of their dishes especially eyeing the oyster sisig, kare-kare, and frozen dulce de leche cake.

Lauan is located just right beside the famous Stklab Resto. Unlike the latter, Lauan does not have it’s own parking. Street Parking is the only available option. If you really need to bring a car, you can opt to park within Estancia Mall (Capitol Commons) and just...

The food was good but it was served cold. For something that was pre-ordered and took a few minutes before being served you'd expect your food to be hot/warm. The ambiance is good but there are mosquitoes present. The service was poor. Very slow and you must consistently follow up.

I went there for valentine's, I ordered their Valentine menu and made an additional order (oyster sisig) from the menu. My additional order took too long to be served, basically we finished all the meals and the oyster sisig was still not served (this was approximately 45 mins.) so i had to cancel it. Took us 4 follow ups before we were served our drinks. Complimentary water was not served in advance, so be ready to choke on your food if you forget to ask for water.

Lastly, for such a place you'd expect that they'll have credit card payment ready. When we were there, both credit and debit card payment was offline. 30 mins passed since i called the bill out and was still not given the bill. So even with payment you'll have to wait an eternity.

Would have been a nice experience had the service...

Food: Delicious and serving size is generous. We ordered their bulalo steak, angus beef tapa, chicken cutlet, mushroom truffle pizza, and tinapa fried rice. The dish I liked least was the chicken cutlet —the sauce was a tad too sour for my liking and the chicken itself was underseasoned. It wasn't bad though, just could be better. Besides that, everthing else was delicious. I would go back here for the mushroom truffle pizza. Their dough had the perfect chew and dare I say better than ones from more popular/expensive restos. The bulalo steak was soft and pairs well with their mushroom sauce.

Service & atmosphere: Staff were friendly and, besides the pizza, everything was served within short intervals. As for the atmosphere —it's leans more laid back and casual. There was an acoustic duo playing when we visited, and the audio was aptly set for the resto's rather intimate seating capacity. Great for a cozy night out with friends or a loved one. My only gripe is that there's very limited parking so it might be better to...

EDIT: EW! Just had a bad dining experience. We were told food will be served after 15-20 minutes but it arrived after 30 mins. That I could forgive but my experience turned so sour and was so ruined because the oyster sisig had a long strand of hair in it. It was so wrapped around one of the meat that when i pulled it out, the oyster meat was hanging on it. Had to wait another long time. Hated that recent visit. _______ I’ve been coming here again and again for the oyster sisig. It’s in like my top 50 fave foods in my life. Tried the Carbonara for the first time and it was good as is but with the garlic bread it was divine. They need what they put in that garlic bread in their pasta. Also my first time to have the salmon bowl, it was good but I need it to have a little bit more something. Salt or Garlic seasoning perhaps? More butter? Love it regardless.
