Best chicken barbecue and mushroom soup combo! Has definitely gotten more expensive over the years but still worth a visit every once in a while :)

Our first time here and certainly, didn't disappoint. We know that this resto is part of the old fave Aristocrat chain of restaurants. Thus, we ordered their most popular and best-selling chicken barbeque and pork belly barbeque. We enjoyed them- so tender and flavorful. Plus, we ordered puto bumbong and bibingka for desserts. Yummy! Just the way we wanted them to be- these are must orders! Place has a nice, homey ambiance. Plus has a 2nd Level to accommodate more guests. Waitstaff are friendly and professional and some looked like they've been working there for years. Usually, people come and eat in groups like families or friends. Have to be back to try the other dishes. Check also their goodies in the counter for take-outs as they looked good, too. Two-thumbs up! One of the best, reliable restaurants in Tomas Morato if you're craving for Filipino food.

Karekare felt watered down, peanut flavor bland, bagoong did not work for the family Sisig was a 50/50 like/hate rating from the fam Jave rice was a colored tasteless rice. Mushroom soup was bland. A kid ordered the soup and said, "walang lasa" so the adults tasted the soup, "Wala nga" Liempo was the winner. Well marinated. The strawless QC policy is fine, but small tapiocas don't work with spoon. How then? What to do? Sotangjon soup lacked saltiness, but rich in garlic flavor. Lattes was served hot. Rice served in diff cups/portions Gambas was FRESH, lacked seasoning Calamares smelled "malansa" but we'll cooked Staff attentive and nice. Except for the last girl who took care of the bill. She ain't pleasant. LGU street parking was blocked(signages) by the establishment but no one was attending to the cars when we arrived.

Had lunch at the Tomas Morato branch last week with a friend, it's been years since I visited as I have been away. Our schedule that day was packed and we wanted to be productive, but didn't want to eat fast food. We each decided to have the Chicken Barbecue set and fresh lumpia, we didn't wait long and the food was served fresh, hot and very tasty. The restaurant felt like a clean homely place where you can enjoy your meal in a friendly and peaceful environment. The staff were all so very polite (from parking to ordering) and you can tell by their eyes that they were truly smiling behind the face masks. Our server was Eddie and I loved how he was patient and attentive to what the table needed without the need for us to call. I truly noticed how good I felt there in the midst of the busy-ness of our schedule that day. On another note, would Alex 111 consider having a choice for your customer to choose a "healthy version" of any dish in your menu for people who are controlling their sugar, sodium and fat intake? As the world is looking into healthy eating, it would be good to have this option....
