My gf and I went to the Eastwood branch to have lunch on the first day of 2021. Staff were friendly and the place was really clean. Even when they had their lunch break in the dining area, they were quiet and still respectful to the customers.
We ordered the following;
Onion Rings - seasoning on the batter was good but the onions itself were too thinly sliced
Complimentary bread - Good toast on the bread. You can also tell that the butter was of high quality.
Complimentary cream of mushroom soup (came with the steak) - Felt like it was canned soup with added chives & seasonings.
Cocktail shrimp - salsa was fresh. shrimps were grilled just right altho two of them were not deveined properly
Grilled salmon - moist and delicious
Grade 4 Wagyu NY Striploin - meat almost melts in your mouth. Flavorful on its own with the help of salt and pepper. No need for the sauces imo. *Once you have your desired temperature on the steak, remove it from the stone slab. It will overcook as you eat it. Also, oil will splatter as the steak cooks, so make sure to distance yourself from the plate for a few minutes.
Creamy corn - straight up delicious. I couldn't get enough.
Spinach gratin - perfect side dish for the steak and salmon.
Total bill - P2350 (had the 50% discount)
This is a restaurant where you should definitely take your significant other to when on a date. BUT, go there with a 50% promo, else, food is a bit too pricey for its...
Read moreChose this restaurant randomly for our girls' night out dinner and we think the price is not worth it.
The quality of the steak is not bad but I've tried better ones for a cheaper price. We didn't like the side dishes as well altho the package that we ordered comes with a lot of sides. My friend said the soup tasted like Campbell soup straight out of the can (which is not entirely a bad thing but you'd expect better for this price point right?). The baked oysters seem fresh but were overpowered by the amount of cheese, it needs to have more balance. The sauces that come with the steak are also a let down. The dessert is fun since it's served on a stone as well, my friends find it too sweet but it's just right for me.
I hope they improve since only a few restaurants here has this grilling stone concept and it would really be enjoyable with proper execution...
Read moreRip off. The steaks weren't real wagyu. High percentage of the steaks were either ligaments or tendons or too dry. Also, they give you 5-6 different kinds of sauce. Two of each for 4 steaks (tell me how that's going to work out). Now, not all of us will use all of the sauces available. Usually, we just used the one we want. So when a particular sauce was finished, and we asked for a refill we were told we had to pay php 60 for it. (but changing the lava rock was free! Go figure) Just illogical. I usually rate a place according to what they present themselves as. In this cae, if it weren't for the eager service. There'd be no stars. If you start pricing yourself high, better be sure to give commensurate products. A friend had told me the feedback wasn't good. We thought to give it a chance. ...
