Katherine's Cafe — Restaurant in Quezon City

The Chicken and Pesto Ravioli has generous serving, and tasted good. However, the pasta felt tough, too dense in the corners, and dry when chewed. The chicken filling, although tasted good, felt grainy. I expected more quality for its price.

The Smoked Salmon Pasta has good amount of pasta, creamy, seasoned well, but surprisingly only has few pieces of Salmon shavings on top of the dish, barely a spoon of Salmon shavings. I didn't feel much of the ingredients, nor herbs. I was expecting Salmon chunks, although the menu didn't have a photo to set my expectations correctly. I expected more for its price.

The Mango Bang-O Crunch was delightful to enjoy. I would have wanted real chunks of mango on top or at the center though, because the slice that I received felt lacking in mangoes, because it did not have a single piece of mango, just the thin layer of mango that felt like a syrup. The crunch was also there, but barely felt. Worth a try!

The dining environment was clean, well-lit, you can see the outside of the restaurant. Customer service was very good. Very attentive staff when we needed to call them, treated us professionally, kind, and fast. Ambiance was good, sufficiently cool and comfortable...

Wanted to try something new and it was just that, new.

For the place - the feels and the ambiance, I would give a 5. I think the interiors were designed to give a feeling like you’re in someone else’s home and they are cooking a meal for you is always a go-to nowadays. Like Nono’s and Mary Grace. Seats are comfortable and there was no odor. The servers were kind and thoughtful too. I would suggest to ask first IF the customer wants drinking water or a drinking straw before offering it... for the sake of conserving water.

I ordered the waffle and chicken. The waffles were soooo good! it wasn’t served hot but the chicken was. The waffle has a crunch on the edges and super moist inside. The chicken was big; served 3 portions (Size of an iPhone + or a bit smaller) but very, very heavy on the batter and the chicken was “slim”. The flavour reminded me of hot star large fried chicken. This can serve two people too. I paid 440 or 450 for the food and that’s okay.

I would go back and try the other dishes. And their cake...

So one time my friend and I decided to have Sunday lunch here. We were already seated, and in about 10 minutes, a group of 8 people arrived and were seated beside us. So I called on the server to get our order and since we were just 2, she then decided to take the order of the group that recently arrived. After 10 minutes, orders were coming in for the bigger group. We ordered pancake, cereal chicken and stuffed pork chop. The order of the bigger group were completed first before us. After 20 minutes, our pancake came in cold and dry. The chicken was also dry and we requested for an extra dipping sauce and nothing came. The pork chop arrived after 40 minutes. So i got infuriated and they just offered a complementary slice of cake- which was also 1/5. The food generally was horrible for the price. The service is sub par with the adjacent restos. The location is their only redemption. So if u are not on a hurry, dine in other restos...
