Bistro Młyn — Restaurant in Gdansk

Extremely hit or miss. They have very good food, but it's only good when you can get it.

Over a few visits, there were often issues. Asking for a French breakfast one day, I was told they had no french toast, so they couldn't make it. My wife wanted another breakfast dish, but they had no cheese. Another day, they didn't have croissants so couldn't make a French breakfast that day either. So when I asked if they had French toast, the waitress pointed to the menu. The dishes and breakfasts we ordered were tasty, but it feels like they sell out of food very fast and the menu choices diminish. We asked for a latte, not a latte macchiato, as the menu has both. But when the drinks came, it was a latte macchiato. We asked and the waitress looked confused, and asked if we wanted a different drink. It was made, so we accepted it because otherwise it would be a waste, and in the end we were charged the extra for a latte macchiato even though they gave it to us by mistake. It was only a few zloty but the idea is the same, if you have two choices on the menu, then it's nice to get what you ordered instead.

Another day we tried the waffles from the stall outside. They had no chocolate sauce. After about 15-20 minutes (the poor server had to jump between two stalls alone to serve both icecream and waffles) it turned out they didn't have any whipped cream either, and we could wait even longer to make some, or have a refund on only the whipped cream since they don't do returns (nevermind we weren't given anything to return yet). We did get our money back despite this policy.

The food we did eat was delicious, and pretty large portions. The place is clean, and in general the service is nice one exception who maybe was having a bad day. The choices aren't amazing in the area, and in terms of quality it might be one of the best you can get. But be prepared that they might not actually have what you're...

We had breakfast there last Sunday, we arrived at 11 a.m., we were given a place at 11:20 a.m., and took our order at 11:45 a.m., 25 minutes later, we were completely forgotten!

The service is mediocre, terrible, no one talks to you when you enter the restaurant, you wait at the door like a dog, the management sucks! I don't know why there are many people but no staff, it's like they don't know how to manage or behave with customers. The restaurant is nice inside but is not sufficient, they still need to have competent people, even in the kitchen they are stingy.

After taking our orders, we waited until 1h to be served, and you know what? They only came to us when we asked for this and asked where our breakfast is.

To have a dish with 2 omelette eggs, and the second dish with only 1 egg. Lol we finished this dish in 2 minutes and when we wanted to pay, we found almost 2,5€ more, and I asked what is this because it's not the price of what we took, and there we found that the person wanted to charge us for the order of another table!

It's really a big mess, I don't suggest it at all! unless you want to starve and go out angry and...

We came in and was ignored for a long time. Horrible service. Servers looked us up and down several times and still didnt answer us. When we finally sat it was 12.45, and breakfast was served until 13.00. We tried to get contact for a long time with serves and even say «excuse me» as they walked by but they ignored us straight up. Finally we managed to ask. When I asked to have lunch and could wait until 13, they said lunch will not be served until 14.00 that day. Then we asked for breakfast that we wanted and they said no, we don’t have chicken (when we tried to order 2 different things that was with chicken). Then we tried pizza (which was on the breakfast menu also supposedly served from 11.00), but they said they’re not serving that either. Then they came 12.55 to say that we need to order now if we want food because they will close the kitchen and take 1h break, but everything we tried to order from that menu they didn’t have. We ended up leaving without anything even tho we spent 30 minutes just waiting and trying to...
