Gambas Seafood&Meat — Restaurant in Gdansk

We went here because of the amazing reviews and the affordable prize. The music is nice and the decoration is in coherence with the theme. The service is also really friendly and welcoming. The toilets are not super clean (stinks on the toilet bowl and we were alone in the restaurant) and miss the lock. The food level didn't live up to our expectations. We first ordered the seafood soup which is tasty but it is a pitty that it was served without the toasts and the cheese/cream that go with it. The calamares a la plancha were not good. Those are used to be calamar grilled and served without additional sauces, perhaps some lemon. Instead we got 5 calamar rings in a seafood sauce that was too salty. Finally we ordered the signature seafood dish which was not amazing. There were too many condiments that seemed to be there to fill a plate which was pretty empty in seafood. Finally We were surprised to see a bowl with dirty water under our table. Overall the seafood quality...

Very cozy restaurant and very tasty food. We booked a table in advance and the owners offered us to order lobster if you make a pre-order for it, this is a very interesting offer and we will definitely take advantage of it next time. We ordered oysters and plateau for 2 people. For two ladies the plateau turned out to be quite large and hearty, we felt it was quite enough even for 3 people. The calamari was perfectly cooked, not rubbery. The shrimp are juicy and rich. The tuna steak is medium rare, which is a huge plus for the restaurant. The cocktails are very tasty and interesting, rich. It is also possible to order a bottle of champagne not from the menu, but on availability. The waiter was very friendly and interested, we easily found common ground :) Definitely recommend this place and put it in my list of the best places in Gdansk, we will come here more...

We came on a December Sunday evening. The restaurant had a warm albeit quiet atomesphere. The service was excellent; servers were attentive, friendly and able to communicate in English. The price was alright, maybe slightly expensive for some dishes, but the portion size was reasonable. Only downside was the flavour for the garlic muscles. It could have been a little bit richer and the muscles were mostly small. The amount of muscles; however, was more than ample. For two people, we spent 200Zl roughly 46Eur.
