Masło Maślane — Restaurant in Gdansk

Siamo arrivati poco dopo le 12 e ci è stato subito detto che la cucina apre alle 13, quindi bisognava aspettare per ordinare — tutto chiaro e comunicato gentilmente. Purtroppo, la nostra cameriera ha finito il turno alle 13 e quella successiva si è completamente dimenticata di noi, anche se abbiamo chiesto più volte. Dopo la seconda richiesta (erano ormai le 14:15 e molte persone arrivate dopo di noi avevano già mangiato), la responsabile (una donna) si è informata personalmente e nel giro di 5 minuti ci è arrivato tutto. Le bevande ci sono state offerte dalla casa, un bel gesto. La cameriera che ci aveva ignorato ha però continuato a comportarsi in modo poco professionale. Il cibo era molto buono. Le porzioni non sono grandi, quindi consigliamo eventualmente di accompagnarle con insalata o patate, oppure condividerle.

Wir kamen kurz nach 12 Uhr an und uns wurde direkt freundlich mitgeteilt, dass die Küche erst um 13 Uhr öffnet – also mussten wir mit dem Bestellen warten. Leider hatte unsere erste Kellnerin um 13 Uhr Feierabend, und die nächste hat uns dann komplett vergessen, obwohl wir mehrfach nachgefragt haben. Gegen 14:15 fragten wir erneut nach unserem Essen, da viele Gäste, die nach uns kamen, bereits gegessen hatten. Die Chefin hat sich dann persönlich darum gekümmert, und innerhalb von 5 Minuten war alles da. Die Getränke wurden vom Haus übernommen – eine nette Geste. Die Kellnerin, die uns ignoriert hatte, blieb jedoch weiterhin unprofessionell. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Portionen sind nicht besonders groß – wir empfehlen, sie mit einem Salat oder Kartoffelbeilage zu kombinieren oder zu teilen.

We arrived shortly after 12 and were immediately informed – in a friendly way – that the kitchen opens at 1 PM, so we had to wait before ordering. Unfortunately, our first waitress ended her shift at 1, and the next one completely forgot about us, even though we asked several times. By 2:15 PM, we asked again where our food was, as many people who arrived after us had already been served. The female manager personally looked into the situation, and within 5 minutes, everything arrived. Drinks were offered on the house – a nice gesture. However, the waitress who had ignored us continued to behave unprofessionally. The food was very good. Portions aren't large, so we recommend either sharing with a side of salad...

Hypothetically a 5 Google Stars restaurant, but... sadly a disappointing experience overall due to a long wait and unprofessional service from one waitress.

The place has a lovely atmosphere, fair prices, and a small but appealing menu. The food we finally got was really delicious – but we had to wait almost 2 hours.

After two times asking a young blonde waitress for an update (with no direct feedback afterwards and even avoiding eye contact), we were close to leaving. Luckily, the (presumably) owner stepped in, apologized, offered the drinks on the house, and resolved the situation professionally.

Mistakes can happen, but ignoring the concerns of waiting customers feels disrespectful. Without the long wait and that waitress’s behavior, I’d fully...

Absolutely fabulous food, it's mostly classic Polish dishes but done in a modern way and done well, so you still get the essence of the original dishes with small details that really surprise you. Really recommended for anyone who wants to discover what Polish cooking is about, but not necessarily in a "mum's cooking" kind of style. The only thing I can criticise (and this is me being veeeery picky) is the waiting time for the dishes, we came around 3pm and the place was half empty, but it still took a good 30min to get our dishes (it was well worth the wait though so not a major issue and it's possible they simply had a lot of orders coming in at the same time).
