Steakownia — Restaurant in Gdansk

Disaster from start to finish. The prices on the website do not match the menu; the excuse was "the menus are new," but they didn't look new at all.

No one was interested in finding us a table, although there were two (soon to be) free tables outside.

Sides were not included. We ordered a T-bone; after 1.5 hours, it was cold on arrival, and the fat was not cooked/rendered properly—yuck and not seasoned at all. We waited for the sides for over five long minutes, and no waitresses were seen. When she finally came, her excuse for the cold meat was that it was "cold outside"; it was July. The meat was taken back and brought back well done, which was not the medium rare that we asked for. The Béarnaise sauce was a complete joke to anyone who enjoys food.

When it was time to pay, we asked the waitress to reduce the price for the meat as it was a wait of 1.5 hours for a cold and tasteless steak. She said, "I will," but then did NOT. After agreeing to speak to the manager to redeem the situation, the owner was not having it and had no interest in making us feel better about this complete scam.

I would give a zero for service. This place is a complete scam. The food took one hour, the steak was cold on arrival and with no sides, making us wait for them and getting the steak even colder. It was the worse, we had to ask to heat it up, then it came back well done instead. Horrible. When we wanted to speak to the manager, the waitress was rude and lied that she had a conversation with the manager, but we saw that she didn’t - she lied ! When we asked we I’ll not pay the full price for a bad quality and bad experience, she said that’s she understood but still gave us the full bill - which says 700 g of meat- we are not blind. Service was bad, I was seated over 5 mins without anyone approaching, so I got a waitresses attention, but it was another 5 mins before she came over. The website quoted 23 zł for a tomahawk steak, actual price was 39zł....and this wasn't for one steak, but only 100 grams worth - this per 100 grams thing is classified as a scam by Honest Reviews...technically the menu (not the website) has the per 100 gram thing, so I doubt a court would call it a scam; I ordered a 500 gram steak without realizing it was by weight, and only 50% of it was edible, further making it a bad experience.
