Asian in Krakow, Poland 🤔 Rating: ★★★★★
Food in Krakow is pretty much as diverse as it gets; French, Japanese to Italian, you will be spoilt for choice given how affordable this city is as well. However, western food is definitely a step above due to their close proximity to countries like Italy and Paris.
Bianca is an Italian restaurant that serves very traditional Italian food. While the exterior might look a little normal, the interior of the restaurant is where the magic happens.
The place is furnished minimally. A rustic, 1980s design with traditional cookery hung on the walls transforms this space into an amazing restaurant for lunch and dinner. However, the best part about the restaurant is the amazing quality and attention to detail of every component in their menu.
I’ll start with the risotto with fried prawns and sun dried tomatoes. They are perfect. Every risotto grain is cooked evenly and it almost melts in your mouth. The prawns are so fresh, and the sun dried tomatoes compliment the dish perfectly. Even the crackers that are fried when you order them are hard to fault.
Next was the linguine in olive oil, Parmesan cheese and black truffles. While I cannot verify how genuine the truffles are, the quality is consistent with that of the risotto: every strand is coated perfectly with the blend of olive oil, cheese and truffles. You can taste each individual ingredient distinctively which makes for a really delightful experience.
We thought that was the end of our experience, but turns out that they gave us really fresh breadsticks to take away as nibbles. That was a really nice gesture and it sealed the experience with a definitely recommendation! Party size of 1-8 is fantastic, and they could accommodate more if you approach them for...
Read moreDon’t know where to really start with this - First off we were a group of English girls and I think that was where the problem started. We walked in and were greeted by our waiter who seemed to be lovely but unfortunately our meal then went down here due to the horrible atmosphere created by staff staring and pointing at us throughout our meal. The food was good for most of us apart from one in a group who got the wrong order, we kindly said to the waiter that it was the incorrect meal but I was happy to eat it but just wanted to let them realise. (I am not a person to ever say anything but this meal was totally opposite to what I ordered). They did not even apologise in the slightest even though the meal ordered was a pasta dish and the one received was solely seafood alone and the person had pointed at what they wanted. This alone I thought was incredibly unprofessional to not even apologise or take the meal back. This then created an even worse atmosphere with being pointed and spoken quite obviously about while eating as we were the only people in this part of the restaurant. Anyway we paid and were leaving the restaurant and all said thank you to be absolutely ignored and just glared at which we felt extremely sad about and was just actually so unprofessional. Despite this the food was good for the value of money, just an awful shame about the atmosphere that the staff...
Read moreMy wife and I recently dined here while staying In Krakow . We stumbled on the venue in the corner of the old town square (near to st Mary’s Basilica) completely by accident and so pleased we ate there. This is an Italian restaurant and the menu lists a wide choice of authentic Italian dishes. There are tables outside where we sat and the restaurant interior is large . Service is outstanding from the moment we were shown to our table. Drinks promptly arrived and our order was taken (not rushed) . My wife had focaccia which she said was delicious but big enough for two and I had anti pasti misti - a plate with meats, cheeses and with homemade jam - all delicious. For our main course, I had the taglioni con gamberetti and my wife the beef pappardelle con manzo . All our food served here was fantastic, together with great service and lovely surroundings. I would thoroughly...
