Jotta 13 — Restaurant in Lagos

If your planning to go.... DONT! Food was tasteless. Not at all what Portuguese food tastes like. Lady who I can only assume was the owner seemed to have a problem with buggies and families with kids. In more then one occasion she came to move my buggy out of the way even though No one needed to pass by just letting me know if they get busy I need to close it. Keeping in mind our table was at the back of the restaurant and by the wall 🤨. She also did this to another family telling them they couldn't seat where they wanted as there's wasn't enough space (which was a lie) and made them also sit at the back and be tight for space on a smaller table and their buggy closed and away from them and their small child. Never again. She would just walk around moving cutlery pretending to keep busy but never checking on us or helping taking orders. I had to get up just to ask for a drink as I seemed to be getting ignored. Really bad manners. Staff weren't as bad but clearly under management by this deranged woman....

Extremely disappointing experience. We visited for our honeymoon, hoping for a special dinner, but we were let down by both the food and the service. When the Cataplana dish was served, the server transferred only a portion of it to our plates and then closed the lid, leaving some shrimp and other ingredients inside. We didn't get to enjoy the full dish because of this. Additionally, the food arrived very late, and the staff was rude and dismissive. I understand that Cataplana doesn’t come with rice, but the service here was absolutely terrible. I deeply regret...

Because it is currently the low season, I had the choice of tables and very attentive and professional service. The food was delicious! Mixed seafood with pasta. Almost every bite had pasta, with sauce, mussels, very large prawns, and different chunks of fish. I like how they did not skimp on the seafood and it tasted and smelled fresh. I intend to return for the cataplana. This is so far the only place I’ve found in Lagos where it’s not just for 2 people. Makes it easier when travelling solo!
