We had read the reviews and looked forward to this meal, but it a huge disappointment. The waitress was lovely and kind, we ordered beers, the barbacoa beef and fish pie. That's when the downhill slide started.

Our food took 40 minutes to arrive. The beef was so dry, my husband couldn't eat it. I switched him meals, but my fish pie was pretty bland. I asked the waitress for more sauce for the beef and things got worse. The cook had a complete come-apart. Throwing pans, yelling profanity and obviously screaming at the waitress. My husband, worried about her, asked if everything was okay and she said the cook was mad because prep hadn't been done the night before. I could hear him yelling about the lazy staff and that they 'only had one table the whole bloody night...'

He made me some sauce, but his tirade and throwing of pots continued. I asked for our bill because we were so uncomfortable. The waitress understood, said she was sorry for his behavior and gave us a free beer, which we didn’t drink, and 10% off.

Never have I dined in such an unprofessional environment. We both left, completely stressed out, with stomachaches. Such a shame because the menu looked amazing, but didn't deliver on flavor or quality - or price.

Never...

Definitely a place to visit in Lagos. Every dish was perfectly balanced in both texture and flavours. We went a bit over the top and ordered entrees and a pies to share between 2.

For the entree we ordered the stuffed squid in a tomato based sauce and the starter of 3 choices - bread and beetroot hummus, olives and fish croquettes. The squid was delicious, the flavours were rich but balanced and squid cooked perfectly. You could even just have the sauce with some bread and be satisfied. The fish croquettes are also a great pick, likewise the rest of the starters.

For mains we ordered steak pies with puff pastry tops which were so light and fluffy. The steak was once again perfectly cooked and the pie bases you could tell were made with love and as we later found out, the creation of the resident pastry chef.

We ordered way too much but were so satisfied with the meal that we just had to get a dessert to go, so we picked up the cheesecake and the apple and berry tart. Both did not disappoint. Would highly recommend and will try to go...

We came to PIE because of the high Google reviews. We ordered the Chicken and Fish Empadas and were extremely disappointed. Perhaps it was just an unlucky day for us? We were a party of three and couldn't finish everything. The food tasted old, with clearly frozen vegetables. Nothing was fresh, not even the mashed potatoes, which seemed reheated. The chicken tasted old (or didnt tasted at all), and despite requesting extra shrimp in the fish empada, we received a maximum of four tiny shrimp.

On the positive side: The staff was very friendly. The music was good. The beer was good.

However, the food, although aesthetically pleasing, was a major letdown in terms of taste. As I mentioned, the reviews were so positive that I feel strange criticizing, but we were not served good food, and it was not...

Great Experience, must visit location in Lagos! We had dinner there yesterday and it was the perfect choice. It's "Build your own Pie" either with steak and onion, chicken, fish, or vegetables as a basis and added custom ingredients from a list. All the food we had was only the best of quality. Super friendly staff and great choice of drinks. The tables outside are absolutely beautiful and the perfect location on a nice evening in Lagos. Ask for the Tapas menu! For 10€ you get a choice of 3. It's the perfect starter for a group of 2-3 and absolutely worth to consider. Reservation is really easy via the website and should be done since tables (especially outside) are quite limited. Highly recommend!

WOW - what a hidden gem. 10/10 recommend. Everything we tried was a new surprise and kept getting better. I mean, to even make carrots and peas taste that good?! That is skill. The seasoning on everything was wonderful. The chicken and steak were so tender and the gravy was delicious. We also got the popcorn clams and Mac and cheese. The real hits were the main courses though!! The steak and onion pie along with the creamy chicken pie. One of the top three meals we’ve had while traveling Portugal’s coast for the last couple of weeks.
