AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS- do not spend your money here. From start to finish it was an awful experience and it ruined one of our holiday evenings that we were really looking forward to.
On arrival, nothing was explained about how to order. Instead of a normal process, we were handed a pen and paper with no guidance. No rules about the restaurant were explained either.
When the food arrived, it looked like it had been thrown on the plates without any care. One piece of sushi was warm, and a chicken dish was inedible — genuinely disgusting. We are not fussy eaters and rarely complain, but we simply left the chicken dish untouched on the side.
This is when things became truly shocking. The female waitress, who is also the manager, came over and pointed at the dish saying, “you’re wasting food.” We politely apologised and explained that we didn’t like it. She then aggressively told us we should have read the “rules,” flicking to a page in the menu we’d never been directed to, which stated you must eat all food or be charged €6 extra. We said we were happy to pay, but she insisted we had to eat it and even told us to “speak to the chef, it’s nice.” We refused -no one should be forced to eat something they do not like.
From that point on she was rude, dismissive, and openly hostile, rolling her eyes at us, ignoring requests for the bill, and generally making us feel uncomfortable and humiliated. In the end, after being ignored for 10 minutes, I had to go inside to pay. She wordlessly shoved the card machine in front of me without so much as basic courtesy.
The food was poor, the service appalling, and the attitude of the manager was the worst I have ever experienced in hospitality. The only positive was the young boy (looked like a pre-teen) who was helping out and working hard despite the awful example being set by management.
We left feeling humiliated, hungry, and questioning whether we even had the right to say no to food we didn’t like. A vile place with vile food and vile...
—————————————————————-
Today 04/25/2023 I went with my wife Portuguese to try to find some vegan but cooked dishes. After finding a solution given by the waiter (Gentleman) we sat down to eat but regretted it and will never go back. My company being pregnant to avoid toxoplasmosis can not eat raw foods grown underground such as salad but also everything that remains raw after touching fish or meat that it is impossible to wash your hands or change gloves every time you touch meat or fish especially in a small restaurant where there are no separate divisions of fish, meat, appetizers or pastries, therefore the same unwashed hands and the same gloves are used for everything. (Me) Someone who has worked in several restaurants and works in the kitchen says so.
However, the waiter convinced us by asking the kitchen that he will make us sushi with cooked vegetables. We order sushi with cooked vegetables and we get sushi with cucumber, avocado and mango. We advise the waiter to take away sushi and bring back with cooked vegetables, bring back sushi second time without cucumber, We advise the waiter third time to bring sushi with cooked vegetables but he tells us he brought out cucumber which was raw so for him avocado and mango was cooked??? Unacceptable given that avocado cannot be heated otherwise it will ruin and mango as well therefore they had to put cooked vegetables.
The waitress (Madam) arrives and explains that cooked vegetables cannot be added (the thing that previously could be asked in the kitchen by the waiter.
Now I wonder why make fun of the customer trying to convince him to eat what he doesn't want because he knows very well how to work in the restaurant kitchen on a hygienic level. It is a great disrespect to rip...
Read moreMy son and i had dinner there tonight they do all you can eat for €17.50. It was a disappointment. They do sushi and Japanese/ Chinese dishes. The sushi was not too bad. However, the portions are too large, and because of that you are not able to select a bigger variety of sushi dishes because you fill yourself too much with that one dish (house rule no leftover food otherwise there will be a surcharge of €6 per dish of leftovers) the other dishes on the menu for a better word were bland with no traditional seasoning as these dishes are known for, we had to constantly pour some soy sauce to make it more palatable. And finally, to top it, as the weather was good, we opted to sit outside and did not enter the restaurant. After our meal was done, I went inside to freshen up I was taken aback by the state of the interior of the place , it looked like a store room with crates and boxes stacked in various areas, and amongst the patrons tables needless to say if I had seen the state of the inside of the restaurant I would never had eaten there because if yhe front house looked like that imagin the kitchen. For me,...
