We were looking for a light early evening meal not a full main dinner. Still getting over travelling. Saw this place first in the early afternoon and realised it was packed with local families. It closes at half seven and we arrived at six thirty pm. Only two other customers were there when we arrived and they were obviously thinking about closing but they welcomed us in and in the very clean but small, inside part of the café brought us the menu. Very simple menu and we had the pork salad. Not expecting much we were surprised to get a plate covered in salad concealing lots of thin pork steaklets and masses of homemade crisp like chips. The condiments included a very nice olive oil and a white wine vinegar both of which we added. The pork was lovely and tender and the salad and the chips were both delightful. I shouldn't have had a pastel de nata but I forced a delicious one in. It's not a heavy duty gourmet restaurant and doesn't pretend to be, but it is one of the best of its type we have had the pleasure of finding. I shall tell anyone who asks how...
Read moreI never write reviews, but this place. We got the pork sandwich with the salad and the homemade thinly sliced potatoes. Wow. The pork sandwich was so juicy and flavourful and the egg inside was cooked perfectly in a way where the yolk just melted in your mouth and the flavours went really well together and the salad that came with it had a big variety of vegetables in. The bun was also really soft but not doughy at all. The chicken baguette was also yummy and again the flavours went so well, the chicken was not dry at all. The salad leaves inside was also noticeable but didn’t overtake the other flavours inside and everything overall was so perfectly balanced. The coffee was also very rich and delicious and the staff was extremely lovely and kind. Will definitely...
Read moreHad a wonderful lunch at this charming little restaurant in Lagos. The menu features a great variety of vegetarian options, which was a pleasant surprise and made choosing a dish easy and enjoyable. The setting is cozy and nicely decorated, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Special mention goes to the ginger lemonade – incredibly refreshing and full of flavor.
The only downside was that the service felt a bit rushed, as if the staff were in a hurry to turn tables. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it did take away slightly from the otherwise laid-back vibe. Still, I’d definitely recommend this spot for a tasty meal, especially if you enjoy fresh flavors and...
