A Muralha - Tapas e Vinhos — Restaurant in Lisbon

Sat down outside and placed our order at the restaurant’s opening time - we were one of the first customers here. More than 30 mins later, after following up with the waitress, we were then told that they lost our order! Nothing had been prepared, no apology or compensation was offered, and we were told the order would just have to be taken again. Really good place for tapas in the historic part of Lisbon. We had the clams, octopus salad, pepper and onion salad, and sea bass, along with bread as an appetizer. Everything was great, especially the clams which were very well seasoned and the sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. The only thing that wasn’t fully to my taste was the octopus salad, which I found very oily. The octopus was basically in a pool of olive oil. Cozy wine cellar like place. There is no outside sitting but you wont regret sitting inside. The atmosphere of this little place will get you.

As a proper wine shop, the wine card is enormpus! But we wanted just a sangria 🙂 dont do that, even if the sangria was a good stuff but the tapas is simply meant to be washed with a good wine!

Mixed tapas plate is what we got and I would go for it even the next time. Plenty of variety of cheeses, some crackers, chorizo and prosciutto like ham.

Staff is also very cheerful and kind 🙂
