Had an absolutely amazing experience at Boca D’Uva. Came in alone while in Lisbon and sat at the bar right in front of the kitchen which I have to say must be the best seat in the house. The food was delicious. I tried the Pica Pau to start and it was cooked perfectly, the sauce was amazing and the recommended wine paired perfectly with the dish. For entree I got the Chef’s Chicken and even had the pleasure to hear the background of the dish from the chef himself. To end the dinner I had the drunken pear for dessert, I’ve never had pear for dessert but this was spectacular. Every dish was presented beautifully. While seated in front of the kitchen I really got to see the love and care the staff puts into their dishes. The servers were a cherry on top as their energy was infectious and they were very inviting and warm to every guest that arrived. You can really feel the passion the team has for this place, and it makes you want to be a member of their team. Would 100% recommend.

We made reservations for 7:45 PM Friday. We arrived on time and were greeted at the door and were immediately welcomed into the restaurant and taken to our table. The restaurant is atmosphere cozy but very enjoyable. Great Rock / Blues music in the background to set the vibe and fantastic menu. We started with two glasses of Spumante…the Head Waiter’s choice, it was refreshing and crisp. For starters we ordered the Octopus Salad and the Sardine Escabeche. Both were excellent. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The Sardines weee presented on grilled bread topped with pickled red onions and sautéed thinly sliced red peppers. Briney, mild pickle onion and meaty sardines… perfection. For the main we enjoyed the Black Pork Cutlet on a savory bed of mashed potatoes and the Codfish deconstructed and served with a medium boiled egg on top. For dessert we shared the Bread Pudding. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Great value and a very pleasant experience.

Day 1 of our honeymoon we accidentally slept through our alarm and missed our reservation. Luckily we were able to make a new reservation on the last day of our honeymoon and it was easily in the top 3 restaurants of our Lisbon/Southern Spain trip. The food is both delicate and flavorful. We started with croquettes—the flavors were incredible. My husband got the chicken for main course and I got the beef tartare. The perfect amount of seasoning, nothing too oily, flavors came out beautifully with fresh onion and garlic making each bite even more incredible. Portions are the perfect size. This is an ingredient only restaurant—they make their own everything including caramel so don’t miss the caramel bread pudding! We loved the wine list. The atmosphere and aesthetic are impeccable. You get a beautiful view while enjoying your dinner. The servers are incredibly friendly and helpful. Compliments to the chef!!

Stumbled across this restaurant after a long day of enjoying Lisbon and wanted a brief stop to rest for a drink. Had to return the following day and glad we did.

Great food in Lisbon is expected if you know where to go. However, discovering a place by chance, finding out is new and then having your expectations blown away by the team at Boca D'Uva is truly amazing. The team have something magical and very rare that is lost in many restaurants, especially in major cities.

You can tell they have passion and that they genuinely want you to enjoy the fruits of their hard labour. Love the fact that they have impeccable knowledge of the wine to either pair with the food you ordered or if you want to shift according to your preference. They also sell the wine to take away at a lower price so you can take home a bottle if you enjoyed it (which we did).

I do not usually go to the same place whilst on vacation, but this place was an exception. Because of this, I managed to try many of their dishes and loved EVERY single one!

Thank you Renato, Ricardo and the rest of the team. Cannot wait to...
