Completely rude staff, we made a reservation at 12pm but we were running late by the heavy traffic, we tried to call the restaurant 10 times even including instagram but no one pick up or the landline just broken, we arrived the restaurant at 12.20pm and we were lectured by a guy waiter, before I finished what I’m saying, he interrupted us and say: when you make reservations, we normally keep for 15 minutes but now is 20 past, so it is a fault, and no reservation anymore, but you can still get in. We were polite all the time and even I was trying to explain we tried to call and we know we were late. Lots of empty tables inside, absolutely rude and impolite at all. I used to work in a service industry, and I know it’s frustrating when customers turn up late for a reservation, but there is a way to talk to people with common decency. Please remember: this is not how you talk to your customers, how the restaurant train staff? I wouldn’t recommend at all. Really bad experience. I wouldn’t make a reservation if I don’t want to try the food, also I assume maybe the staff don’t have any accidents in their life, we tried to call them several times but the landline is broken, even Instagram. We tried our best to arrive the restaurant as quick as we can but we still get a really impolite response. I also hope they can let customers finish what they try to say, listen what’s going on, rather than lecturing customer straight away on the first minute while they have a chance. The analogy with a cinema is not appropriate since you provide a public service with a schedule window. (I didn’t complain about unavailability of a table but about the unavailability of any option of food service 1h before closing time)
There are many restaurants “by appointment only” schedule. You chose a fixed time schedule and the clients accept or not those hours.
If you feel like closing earlier don’t mess with someone else’s time. It is convenient to have scheduled clients and street clients because it is maximizing the income of the restaurant on the client’s free time.

Read moreWe absolutely love it here and have been back twice now! We were searching for fresh seafood that was great quality but not overpriced and we're so happy we found this place. We tried the mixed fish platter, a full plate of sardines and on another day had the baccalau (salted cod) and the octopus (the octopus isn't on the menu but seems to be the current special). They were all really delicious and fresh. The normal plates were 10 - 11 euro and the mixed fish plate was 14. Personally our favourite was the octopus - so tender and really yum. This was the best baccalau we'd tried in our time in both Lisbon (and Spain for that matter) however it is a very salty dish. This is how it is supposed to be but may be too salty for many people if you haven't had it like this before.
