Read moreThis place definitely deserves its popularity. Its vibe is super cute, especially with how it’s decorated for the holidays. I got my food extremely quickly, even though it looked like only two people were working.
The garlic + cheese naan was the big standout to me. It was fluffy and soft. The garlic really came through in a way that it doesn’t for a lot of other, inferior garlic breads. No matter what else you get here, I’d highly recommend it.
I have two major complaints and one minor complaint that kept it from 5 stars for me, and they all revolve around the Chicken Jalfrezi. Let’s start with the positives: it was very flavorful and balanced. However, there was one main flavor that was missing - spice. This chicken is in the spicy chicken section of the menu, and yet, I got absolutely no spice coming through the dish. That left the dish feeling lackluster as the other flavors weren’t strong enough to carry the dish on its own. In addition, the chicken was slightly dry, impacting the texture of the dish as well. My last little nitpick is just about the service. I’m a big fan of using my naan to wipe the remnants of the sauce after I finish my chicken, but the plate was taken extremely quickly without asking if I was done with the dish. This wouldn’t prevent me from giving a 5 stars review in and of itself, but just a small nitpick with the service.
Overall though, the food was great, and I would definitely come back to try a...
Read moreLovely Indian restaurant, they speak both Portuguese and English, also take card payments which is not always the case in Lisbon. The food was delicious, but I definitely recommend their naan bread. Lots of Indian restaurant here don't serve them here. Plenty of choice with different levels of spice, so definitely something for everyone. Many restaurants have reduced their menu because of Covid, in fact this was the reason we changed our reservation at the last minute, but not here, full menu is still available. My husband had a lovely lamb dish which was good quality meat and cooked till beautifully tender. I had prawns which I love, but too many restaurants over cook them and they turn out tough. Definitely not the case here they were cooked just right. We had an early booking as we live outside of Lisbon so were the first people there, but it soon filled up. I would suggest booking if you have to travel any distance. They were also busy with take away orders, but they were serving the restaurant customers first so no need to worry about that. Nice little restaurant with sensible food and drink prices, doing well in these difficult Covid times. We will...
