One of the best coffees I've ever had but the worst service I've ever known. I live nearby and I go there often just for the excellent coffee but they always took a long time to serve for no apparent reason. Last time I was even served by a very rude waiter. I ordered coffee at the cashier where I paid and went to seatt down. After 15 minutes I was still waiting to be served and seeing many customers who arrived later to be served first. I called the waiter to ask what was going on and he just told me that orders are made by payment order and that it was nothing to do with him because it wasn't in the cashier. And he left. I went to the counter and they explained that the ticket with my order had fallen on the floor and they were going to serve it now. I went back to the table and the 2 tables next to me that arrived later were served and I was not. Only after another 5 min they did. The same waiter bring me the coffee and I told him to tell the manager that I had been waiting for more than 20 min for a coffee
. the waiter didn't even let me finish talking and just told me to go to the counter and complain to the employee who was wearing a black apron because he had nothing to do with it. Obviously, I went there and complained about what had happened, but specifically the rude way a waiter serve the clients in that shop. I will never go back there. Rude employees and poor service. I would love to put a picture of the waiter but, unfortunately, the law...

Never judge a book by its cover, applies very well to this cafe/restaurant. Ambiance is great, but our service experience was terrible, as for coffee & food we cannot give it a fair grade as we never received it.

Placed our order for 3 coffees and 2 pastel de nata on 2023-11-02 at 4:13PM. We waited patiently for our coffee and food, after 10min nothing had arrived. 5min later still nothing, as we notice other people's (who ordered after us) have their coffee already brought to them. After a little over 30min had passed since we ordered, did a server come to our table with a confused looked on their face, asking to see our receipt. They looked at it, spoke to the barista, I assume to try and expedite our order. At that point we got tired of waiting, and just asked to cancel our order and for our money back. They also didn't offer any apology for the delay or mistake on their part.

Have got a couple more days here in Lisbon, and doubt we'll be coming back to give them another shot. There are other specialty coffee shops down and around the block that look...

I love this place very much and visit it almost every day for 3 years. There is a very atmospheric terrace and a pleasant atmosphere inside. But the attitude of the employees today upset me a lot. The reaction to the Starbucks glass on the table from, as I understand the chef, that brought me the dish was to tap it with her finger and say "it's not allowed here, change it please". She probably expected me to clean it up myself or throw it away, but of course there is no garbage can nearby inside the restaurant.

I felt myself in a strange position and she passed by me with a condemning look that the glass was still on the table. Only after that I received a branded glass of the coffee shop and poured the coffee myself.

Also, to my friendly reaction and gratitude for the dish, I received the situation described above, instead of a simple "enjoy", even “hi” or whatever that called “service”. I think that for a cafe on the most expensive street in Lisbon, such behavior is simply unacceptable. It's sad to be disappointed in this place, because I...

Tourist trap-ish. Before anything make sure you know what u pay. You can ask for Americano and they have few blends (2€ up to 2.8€). If you just say Americano they, might, choose for you the expensive one without even asking you, eventually will give you your money back IF you notice. Further more, surely it is nicely decorated but 2-3€ for coffee its overpriced for Lisbon, especially if you buying a take away coffee. The street is full of Banana Cafe that serves coffee in half price and next to it, there's Aldi, for pastries in the exact same quality 1/3 of the price. I used to go regularly for the past year, but today, i saw they double-triple prices overnight and start choosing the expensive blend without asking (maybe it was an honest mistake, but better check you bill) Extra tip1 : ask for your bill, cause they will not give it to you Extra tip2 : you will be a fool if you expect a smile or a good morning when they take your order

EDITED; after the horrible experience 8 months and being called a liar as seen in the comments below, I decided to come back and try it again since the management did apologize to me for their EMPLOYEES fault. The quality of service has decreased exponentially. I waited in line for 25 minutes even though there was only 2 people ahead of me and then another 15 minutes from my ICED coffee and ALREADY MADE pastry. I was then served my iced coffee in such a tacky cup and not what it used to be. Disappointed to say the least. 8 months ago: I came there with my French bulldog and as there were no tables outside I asked a lady who worked there if I could sit on one of the tables inside. After getting her approval I proceeded to wait in the long line to order my food. While waiting for my food another unfriendly waitress proceeded to say that we weren’t allowed to be inside. I therefore was forced to request a refund and leave the coffee house.

Perfect cafe to hang around while sipping a coffee, reading news or getting some work done on your laptop. If you just want a quick coffee and return to work, it may take too long for you as they have different staff taking order, preparing coffee and serving (sometimes 5 min matter ;)) The atmosphere and design alone is worth returning!! The chairs and and benches are incredibly comfortable - soft music is playing in the background and tables are spread out on two areas as well as outdoor terrace. I had a flat white (3€) with oat milk (0.75) and personably, it didn’t quite satisfy my taste. But that’s just my personal experience. Oat milk was quite sweet and served well as an alternative to a croissant. In terms of food, you’ll find traditional pastries, croissants and cakes. They do have a vegan and gluten-free banana cake which I didn’t try. Opening hours are daily from 8am-10.30pm. February 2024
