I won't come back to Don Costini, for the same reason l am not coming back to Ginos restaurant, because it was disappointing since there are other italian restaurant options around town with higher quality standards and with similar prices such as La Tagliatella (in Av. Berna, Campo Pequeno) or even lower prices Casa Al Parma (in Alvalade).

  1. Overall, Don Costini's food is average and, in my opinion, does not represent the real italian food as it should (note that I've tried many italian restaurants not only in Portugal, but also in Germany and in several cities in Italy as well).
  2. The prices are higher than they should be considering the quality and flavor of the food, but next to TimeOut Market it's kind of understandable.
  3. Nonetheless, the Staff/service is very good and the atmosphere was kind of calm since the room was not...

I asked for Coke and a Cocktail, and than for another one. As I needed a place to have a call with internet connection. I am aware that the restaurant is interested in people eating, but the inside part was empty, I haven't kept anyones place, and I asked for not the cheapest drinks (two Aperols). So, the guys on the bar brought me a spoilt water when I asked for the glass of water for the 2nd time. Than I asked to pore water I front of me, and it was ok. So, what they do is bring you a specially non-drinkable water if you don't ask for the bottled one. Which is a bit sick...I tried to speak to the administrator but she defended their position, keeping on saying they haven't served me a spoil water, but you "they are not obliged to bring me tap water all the time". Its...

We were four people and began with soup for each one. Beside the fact it took them over 35 minutes to bring the soups, Two of them were probably heated in the microwave because the plates were extremely hot and the soup was cold. After we ordered a salad, and sadly the tomatoes were kinda rotten (see photo). disappointing. For the main course we ordered the francesinha. Multi layered plate with bread, cheese, with a special meat prepared at the place. The meat was hard to chew and rubbery. And the meal itself wasn't a pleasure to have. Plus we tried the risotto and it was far from any definition of a risotto. We mean no harm to the culture nor the place and we noticed the place is packed and full. But maybe they should put more effort into the dishes during rush hours and...

Good place to stop for a beer and some food without the crowd and noise of the Time Out Market. The inner courtyard is very comfortable. I had the Don Costini Fusion Burger. It sounded like it would be the Don Costini Burger but in pizza crust instead of a bun. I assumed it would be like a calzone with a burger patty and fixings inside. Instead, it came shaped like a fish with a fried egg and sauce on top. Inside it had sliced ham, loose ground veal and other ingredients. I enjoyed it, but found the sauce to be too salty and a flavor that didn't seem to match. I'd get it again, but without the sauce. Others in my group loved what they had- burger, chicken parmiagiana burger and appetizers.
