Not their best restaurant.
Visited them on a sunday night and the restaurant was practically empty.
The food was brought to me fast but i was somewhat dissapointed.
The "Lombo" beef (priced 25€) was small and only accompanied by a slice of ham, and some olive and carrot/cauliflower slices with a small bowl of french fries as a side dish.
Considering this was the most expensive steak on the menu, i was expecting something more impressive than a generic, average tasting steak.
The tiramisu was also dissapointing.
Served in a cup, it was mushy and too packed with brandy.
The only positive thing about the food was the scrambled egg hors d'oeuvre ("Ovos rotos") that was served with a generous serving size (see the attached photos) and was delicious.
Other than the food, the staff needs polishing and to learn some basic things about their job.
While everyone was nice and pleasant, they formed a line next to the counter and kept staring at the only few of us costumers while we ate.
I first noticed it when i was going through the menu, deciding what i was gonna order and when i lifted my eyes from the menu there were a line of 4 or 5 employees a couple of meters away staring at me.
The restaurant was having a slow night and there wasn't a lot to do, even so it is not according to the good practices of client interaction and attending to keep staring all the time.
They kept doing it while i was eating and i can only attribute it to a nervous, inexperienced staff, which was only confirmed when i asked details of some of the dishes and they couldn't provide me with simple, basic descriptions/advices of their own menu.
While i don't consider this experience a total blunder, it was underwhelming and i had a much better experience on their restaurant on the Barata Salgueiro...

Waiters are nice and have you seated, attend to you in a very welcoming way, and all seems to be going in the right direction. Until they serve you your dish, that is; the entrecôte looked weirdly disassembled, but apart from presentation, it was tasteless and quite pungent at the same time, and impossible to cut. The side dishes were uninspired and bland, not to mention cold. Overall unpleasant combination of tastes that just make you wish you were never seduced by the welcoming atmosphere. What they understand as entrecôte is very stiff and gelatinous, not at all what I have encountered. Read moreI’ve visited this restaurant late in the evening on the 15th January after it was recommended to me for Francesinha.
I was super hungry after a long day of walking around the city! The sandwich arrived suspiciously quick (must’ve been reheated ???), I even mentioned it to the waiter: ‘wow, that’s so quick !’, to which he replied: ‘It’s 5 of them in the kitchen’. It was my bday the day after and I woke up at 5am to a food poisoning (was violently throwing up with gravy and all the sausages/ meats I had in that sandwich)🤢🤮. It obviously has completely ruined my bday. That day I had a bday trip scheduled to Sintra and Cascais which I regrettably had to miss (and lost a bit of money too ! ) as frankly speaking could not be away from my bathroom nor my bed 😢 It was pretty traumatic. I’m still recovering.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Not big on leaving nasty reviews but I felt horrible so hope it will help someone.
